* The annual Roxborough Development Corporation Spring Fest returns, with enhancements provided by the City of Philadelphia and Philadelphia250’s RingItOn! Initiative *
Roxborough (Philadelphia), PA – Roxborough Development Corporation and Roxborough Ridge Runners Car Club team up to present a giant day on Ridge Avenue as two of the biggest spring traditions join forces again! Roxborough’s marquee celebration of Philly’s 250th Anniversary will feature a high-energy, family-friendly, all-day, all-ages celebration that blends classic cars, live music, student creativity, local business showcases, food vendors and community pride. This landmark event anchors the spring season and serves as a cornerstone of Roxborough’s annual programming, drawing residents and visitors from across the region. Spring Fest will return to the new footprint for the 2nd time.
The festival will take place from Leverington Ave to Fountain Street from 11:00am to 5:00pm, featuring live music across three staging areas, over 70 local artisans, and delicious food from award-winning food trucks and Ridge Avenues eateries. Attendees can sip on craft beverages from Pennsylvania’s own New Ridge Brewing Company and Top Dog Cocktails, all while enjoying an exciting new layout. As part of the citywide Philadelphia 250 celebration, this year’s event will also feature Roxborough as a marquee destination for a special Liberty Bell installation in Pocket Park, adding a historic touch to one of the neighborhood’s most anticipated annual traditions. Roxborough Spring Fest is one of 20 neighborhood festivals to receive financial support and coordination through the City of Philadelphia’s RingItOn! initiative. The neighborhood festivals supported by RingItOn! make up a citywide calendar of new and existing festivals, markets, and cultural events from April through December 2026. Through investment in these events, the City and Philadelphia250 aim to drive foot traffic to Philadelphia’s neighborhood corridors and support local businesses in these communities throughout the anniversary year.
Philadelphia250, a program of the Philadelphia Visitor Center, is the City of Philadelphia’s implementation partner for 2026. Philadelphia250’s role is to execute RingItOn!, Mayor Cherelle L. Parker’s citywide initiative to put the city’s neighborhoods at the forefront of America’s 250th anniversary while delivering transformative investments across the city.
“Philadelphia’s Semiquincentennial celebrations belong to every neighborhood,” said Kathryn Ott Lovell, President and CEO of the Philadelphia Visitor Center Corporation and Philadelphia250. “Mayor Parker’s Ring It On! initiative carries that spirit into communities across the city, ensuring every Philadelphian feels part of this historic moment. Philadelphia250 is ensuring that these neighborhood celebrations occur for the rest of the year, starting now with events like Spring Fest, through to December. July 4th is important, but we’re going well beyond that.”
Other RingItOn! investments include physical beautifications already appearing in the Roxborough neighborhood, including commemorative 250-branded benches, planters, bike racks, street banners, new street trees, and one of the “Bells Across PA” program’s custom-painted replica Liberty Bells.

“We are so excited to feature Philly 250 and America 250 as the centerpiece of our marquee event, Spring Fest and the Rockin’ the Ridge Car Show. There is a beautiful sense of history returning home this year; the Bicentennial celebration kicked off right here at Gorgas Park in 1976. This May, Gorgas Park will once again serve as the perfect backdrop for a day of incredible cars, live music, and children’s entertainment as we honor our nation’s milestone anniversary in the heart of our community.” – Roxborough Development Corporation Executive Director Jax Cusack.
“Spring Fest represents our organization’s deepest commitment to the community: maintaining a vibrant tradition of art, culture, and togetherness. As we celebrate America’s 250th year, we are proud to provide a space where neighbors can connect through shared history and local creativity. It is an honor to see this tradition continue to grow, bringing people of all generations together to celebrate what makes our neighborhood so special.” – Roxborough Development Corporation Board President Jo Ann Desper.

ABOUT ROXBOROUGH
Roxborough is unique because of its history as one of America’s oldest towns. Back in the 1600’s it was a neighborhood of farms stretching from the clear waters of the Wissahickon Creek to the apex of Ridge Avenue. Now it has a more city-like appearance still with a small-town charm. It’s close to the Wissahickon where many enjoy the trails and nature and close enough to hustle and bustle of the city for work and outings.
ABOUT ROXBOROUGH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
The Roxborough Development Corporation manages the Roxborough Business Improvement District and is dedicated to providing Roxborough residents with high-quality shopping, dining and entertainment experiences.
