Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of June 8 to June 12.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Audubon
Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Wednesday, June 10, to Friday, June 12, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between East Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.
Camden
- New Jersey American Water will be working on Baird Boulevard on Monday, June 8, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial southbound road closure between Federal Street and Carmen Street.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, June 8, to Friday, June 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be lane closures between Market Street and Cooper Street.
- Crews will be working on Newton Avenue from Monday, June 8, to Friday, June 12, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There be full road closure between Chestnut Street and the Kaighn Avenue/South 4th Street intersection.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, June 8, to Friday, June 12, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. There will be a northbound partial road closure between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Cooper Plaza.
- PSE&G will be working on Kaighn Avenue from Monday, June 8, to Friday, June 12, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between South 7th Street and South 3rd Street.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, June 8, to Friday, June 12, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Newton Avenue and Euclid Avenue.
- New Jersey American Water will be working on Marlton Pike on Tuesday, June 9, and Wednesday, June 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between South 24th Street and Carman Street.
Cherry Hill
· Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, June 8, to Friday, June 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be a partial westbound road closure between Springdale Road and Cropwell Road.
· Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, June 8, and Tuesday, June 9, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. There will be a full road closure between Heartwood Drive and Springdale Road.
· Crews will be working on Kenilworth Avenue on Monday, June 8, to Friday, June 12, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. On Monday and Tuesday, there will be a full closure between Edward Avenue and Route 38. Wednesday through Friday, there will be a full closure between Chapel Avenue and Route 38.
· Crews will be working on Cooper Landing Road on Wednesday, June 10, to Friday, June 12, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. There will be a full road closure between Georgia Avenue and Route 70.
Collingswood
Crews will be working on Park Avenue from Monday June 8, to Friday, June 12, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure and sidewalk closures between Dill Avenue and Ogden Avenue.
Gibbsboro
Crews will be working on Hilliards Road from Monday, June 8, to Thursday, June 11, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Kirkwood-Gibbsboro Road and Norcross Road.
Gloucester Township
- New Jersey American Water will be working on Evesham Road on Thursday June 11, and Friday, June 12, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) and Schubert Avenue in Runnemede.
- Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Thursday June 11, and Friday, June 12, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between Station Avenue and Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township.
Haddon Heights
Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue on Wednesday, June 10, to Friday, June 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between East Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.
Oaklyn
- PSE&G will be working on Newton Avenue from Monday, June 8, to Friday, June 12, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between West Lakeview Avenue and West Collingswood Avenue.
- PSE&G will be working on Congress Avenue & Kendall Boulevard, on Tuesday, June 9, to Friday, June 12, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be a full road closure of Congress Avenue between Manor Avenue and Kendall Boulevard. Wednesday through Friday, there will be a full road closure of Kendall Boulevard between Congress Avenue and West Oakland Avenue.
Pine Hill
Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue from Monday, June 8, to Friday, June 12, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between Blackwood-Clementon Road and Erial Road.
Runnemede

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
