Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of June 29 to July 3.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Audubon
· Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Monday, June 29, to Friday, July 3, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between East Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.
· PSE&G will be working on 257 Crystal Lake Avenue on Tuesday, June 30, and Wednesday, July 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial westbound road closure between Prospect Avenue and Hopkins Road.
Barrington
- PSE&G will be working on 25 East Gloucester Pike on Monday, June 29, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Clements Bridge Road and East Atlantic Avenue.
Camden
- Crews will be working on Market Street from Monday, June 29, to Wednesday, July 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial southbound road closure between Federal Street and Carmen Street. There will be a lane shift between Haddon Avenue and North 10th Street on all days.
· PSE&G will be working on Kaighn Avenue, Newton Avenue and South Broadway on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday). On Wednesday and Thursday, there will be a full road closure of Newton Avenue between Kaighn Avenue and Chestnut Street. From Monday to Thursday, there will be a full road closure of South Broadway between Kaighn Avenue and Mt. Vernon Street.
· Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. There will be a northbound partial road closure between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard & Cooper Plaza.
· Crews will be working on Kaighn Avenue on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (7:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday). There will be a lane shift between South 8th Street and South 7th Street.
· Crews will be working on Newton Avenue on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (7:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday). There be full road closure between Chestnut Street and the Kaighn Avenue/South 4th Street intersection.
· Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be lane closures between Newton Avenue and Euclid Avenue, as well as lane closures between Spruce Street and Mt. Vernon Street.
· Crews will be working on Kaighn Avenue on Tuesday, June 30, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be a lane shift at the intersection with Euclid Avenue.
· New Jersey American Water will be working on Federal Street on Tuesday, June 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a lane shift at the intersection with 16th Street.
Cherry Hill
· Crews will be working on Kenilworth Avenue on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Route 38 and Longwood Avenue, and between Helena Avenue & Edwards Avenue.
· Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial westbound road closure between Springdale Road and Ravenswood Way.
· Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. There will be lane closures at the intersection with Springdale Road.
· New Jersey American Water will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. There will be a full road closure between Browning Lane & Springdale Road.
Collingswood
- Crews will be working on Collings Avenue on Tuesday June 30, and Wednesday, July 1, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. There will be a full road closure and sidewalk closures between North Atlantic Avenue and Atlantic Avenue at the railroad tracks.
Gloucester Township
· Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be an eastbound partial road closure between Schubert Avenue and Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township.
· New Jersey American Water will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (7:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday). There will be a full road closure between West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) and Schubert Avenue in Runnemede.
Haddon Heights
- Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue on Monday, June 29, to Friday July 3, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (7:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday & Friday). There will be a partial eastbound road closure between East Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.
Pine Hill
· Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (7:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday). There will be a full road closure between Blackwood-Clementon Road and Erial Road.
· South Jersey Gas will be working on West Branch Avenue on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday). There will be a full road closure between Blackwood-Clementon Road and Erial Road.
Runnemede
· Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between Schubert Avenue and Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township.

- Crews will be working on Mays Landing Road on Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday). There will be a partial road closure northbound between Old Albertson Road and the Atlantic County Line.
· Crews will be working on Sicklerville Road on Monday, June 29, to Friday July 3, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a 24/7 full road closure between Andrews Road and Erial Road.
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
