
The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early this morning in the 39th District, which left three people injured.
On June 14, 2026, at approximately 12:29 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting near 15th and Clearfield Streets. Investigators learned that a physical altercation had broken out between two women. During the fight, a 27-year-old male suspect drew a handgun and opened fire while the women were on the ground.
Three victims were injured in the gunfire: a 30-year-old male (Victim #1), a 22-year-old female (Victim #2), and a 19-year-old female (Victim #3). All three victims were transported to Temple University Hospital via private vehicles and are currently listed in stable condition. Following the shooting, the suspect fled the hospital area in a silver Ford Taurus. The investigation remains active and ongoing with the Shooting Investigation Group.
In a separate and unrelated incident on June 13, 2026, at 11:23 p.m., 15th District officers responded to a fatal shooting on the highway at 1700 Brill Street. A 19-year-old male victim suffered fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene at 11:36 p.m. The victim’s name is currently being withheld pending next-of-kin notification. No arrests have been made, and no motive has been established. The Homicide Unit is actively investigating.
Additionally, there are no new updates to release regarding the three police officers who were shot last night. All three officers remain hospitalized in stable condition.
