Philadelphia Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Homicide Suspect Dennis Patton

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Division is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 42-year-old Dennis Patton, whose last known address is on the 2000 block of Titan Street.

An active arrest warrant has been issued for Patton in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last month.

On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at approximately 10:31 p.m., officers from the 17th District responded to a report of a crowd disturbance on the highway along the 2100 block of Wharton Street. While en route, officers heard gunshots and subsequently located 31-year-old Walter S. Holloway of the 2210 block of Oakford Street lying on the highway, suffering from gunshot wounds to his head and leg. Officers immediately transported Holloway to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 11:00 p.m.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Dennis Patton is urged to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or submit an anonymous tip by calling or texting 215-686-TIPS (8477). A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.
