Four-term local elected official and Republican Nominee for Congress in New Jersey’s 9th District, Rosie Pino, is demanding answers regarding the six-day delay in calling her primary race, and others around the country.
Pino drew a direct line between the local dysfunction in North Jersey and the slow vote counting paralyzing California’s highest-profile elections — specifically the Gubernatorial Primary and the race for Mayor of Los Angeles. Despite NJ-09 being one of the most hyper-competitive congressional seats in the nation, it remains the only race in the entire state of New Jersey left uncalled — even though every county has reported 100% of votes counted.
“Look at the absolute disaster happening in California with the Governor’s race and the chaotic mess with Spencer Pratt in the LA Mayor’s race. Nearly a week later, they are still dragging out the count. Now, we’re seeing the same slow-roll shenanigans right here in New Jersey,” said Rosie Pino. “The polls closed on Tuesday. Why are they still counting ballots nearly a week later? It is completely unacceptable, it invites fraud, and NJ-09 is the only seat left hanging in this state. What are they waiting for?”
Pino declared that fixing America’s broken election administration will be her top priority in Washington.
“In Congress, I will help lead the fight to secure our elections,” Pino vowed. “We need mandatory Voter ID nationwide and strict limits on late mail-in voting. If a ballot isn’t in by Election Day, it shouldn’t count. We must return to a system where elections are decided on Election Night, not days later behind closed doors. I am going to Washington to protect every legal vote and restore integrity to our republic.”
Rosie Pino is actively booking national and regional media appearances to discuss the breakdown of election night results in NJ-09, California, and the critical nationwide push for election integrity reform.
