McDonald’s Serves Up Free Fry Offer to Celebrate National French Fry Day on 7/10

With National French Fry Day coming up on Friday, July 10, to mark the occasion, McDonald’s is offering free Medium World Famous Fries® with any $1 minimum purchase, exclusively through the McDonald’s App, at participating restaurants.

The annual observance also offers an opportunity to spotlight what goes into one of the chain’s most recognizable menu items. McDonald’s fries are made with premium potato varieties, including Russet Burbank and Shepody potatoes, sourced from multigenerational family farms across the U.S.

The scale of that supply chain is significant. In 2024, McDonald’s sourced more than one billion pounds of potatoes from supplier McCain, an Idaho-based company that provides potatoes to McDonald’s restaurants nationwide. The milestone underscores the company’s longstanding relationship with American potato growers and the broader agricultural network that supports restaurants across the country.
