The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Shawn Caddell during a robbery in the city’s Logan neighborhood.
Investigators have released surveillance video stills depicting a male they are seeking to identify in connection with the homicide that occurred on Monday, July 6, 2026, inside a business located on the 4900 block of North Broad Street.
Mr. Caddell, of Philadelphia, was shot during the course of a robbery at approximately 10:03 a.m. Responding officers found him suffering from gunshot wounds inside the location. He was transported by Philadelphia Fire Department medics to Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:26 a.m.
The Homicide Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the male depicted in the released surveillance images. Anyone who recognizes the individual or has information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit immediately.
No arrests have been made, and no weapon has been recovered. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
