The requirements for hunter orange while bowhunting have been clarified in the online version* of the 2026-27 Hunting & Trapping Digest.
Whenever archery and firearms seasons occur at the same time, bowhunters in tree stands are encouraged to wear hunter orange, EXCEPT WHEN IT IS REQUIRED DURING THE SIX-DAY FIREARM SEASON.
