Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of August 24 to August 28.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Audubon
- Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a lane closure between West Merchant Street in Audubon & Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.
- Crews will be working on Hopkins Road on Thursday, August 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a partial road closure westbound between West Greenman Road in Haddon Township & Kings Highway West in Audubon.
Barrington
- Crews will be working on Third Avenue from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Albany Avenue and Trenton Avenue.
Camden
- Crews will be working on Broadway & Collings Road from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Broadway between Atlantic Avenue & Jefferson Street and a full closure of Collings Road (westbound) between South Chesapeake Road & Black Horse Pike. On Thursday and Friday there will be a full road closure between South Chesapeake Road & Black Horse Pike.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. There will be a partial road closure northbound between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard & Cooper Plaza.
- Crews will be working on Newton Avenue and Broadway from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure on Newton Avenue between South 5th Street & South 6th Street and a lane shift of Broadway between Walnut Street & Mt. Vernon Street.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be lane closures between Kaighn Avenue & Chestnut Street and between Pine Street & Walnut Street.
- Crews will be working on River Avenue from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between East State Street & Federal Street.
- Crews will be working on Federal Street from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be lane closures and parking restrictions at the intersection with Broadway.
- Crews will be working on Kaighn Avenue from Tuesday, August 25, to Wednesday, August 26, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Haddon Avenue & Park Boulevard.
- Crews will be working on River Avenue from Wednesday, August 26, to Friday, August 28, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Federal Street & East State Street.
Cherry Hill
- Crews will be working on Kenilworth Avenue from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Route 38 & Chapel Avenue.
- Crews will be working on Kresson Road from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a combination of lane shifts, lane closures, and alternating traffic with flaggers between Willowdale Drive & Marlkress Road.
- Crews will be working on Kresson Road from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure westbound between Cropwell Road & Springdale Road.
Haddon Heights
- Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a lane closure between West Merchant Street in Audubon & Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.
Haddon Township

- Crews will be working on Stone Road and East Atlantic Avenue from Monday, August 24, to Wednesday, August 26, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure at the intersection of both roads.
Lindenwold
- Crews will be working on Laurel Road from Monday, August 24, to Thursday, August 27, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a partial road closure southbound between Chews Landing Road & Blackwood-Clementon Road.
Oaklyn
- Crews will be working on Kendall Boulevard on Tuesday, August 25, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Washington Avenue & Landis Avenue.
Pine Hill
- Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue from Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Blackwood-Clementon Road & Erial Road.
Winslow Township
- Crews will be working on Sicklerville Road from 7 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26. There will be a full road closure 24/7 between Andrews Road & Erial Road.
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting, and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
