MD State Fire Marshal Says a Camper’s Fire Caused $15,000 in Damages

OAKLAND, GARRET COUNTY, MARYLAND(July 31, 2026)(CNBNews)— On July 30, 2026, a camper’s fire at 47 Dobbin Road, Oakland destroyed a greenhouse and two tow-behind campers. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal, the estimated damage is $15,000. Seven members of the Gorman Volunteer Fire Department responded to the one-alarm fire. There were no reported injuries. The investigation is ongoing. Until completed, charges are pending.  The Garrett County Sheriff’s Office
