A track coach employed at Timber Creek High School has been arrested and charged for engaging in a sexual relationship with a student, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Gloucester Township Police Chief Anthony Minosse.
Joel Deanley Jr., 26, of Gloucester Township is charged with three counts of 2nd-degree Sexual Assault and three counts of 3rd-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
On August 4, 2026, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was notified by the Gloucester Township Police Department that a female high school student reported having a sexual relationship with Deanley. During the investigation, detectives determined Deanley and the victim engaged in sexual activity between June 2026 and August 2026.
Deanley was taken into custody in Gloucester Township on August 5, 2026. He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility, pending a detention hearing in Superior Court.
Deanley was employed as an aide at Timber Creek High School, where he also served as the head coach for boys/girls winter track as well as an assistant coach for football and an assistant coach for girls spring track.
The aforementioned student is the only victim identified in this matter. If additional allegations are reported, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office will investigate them.
