Camden County Roadwork Projects

Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of October 26 to October 30.

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

Audubon

  • Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a lane closure between West Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.

Camden

·         PSE&G will be working on Ferry Avenue on Monday, October 26, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a lane shift between Atlantic Avenue and Mechanic Street. 

·         Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a northbound shoulder closure at the intersection with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

·         Crews will be working on River Avenue from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. From Monday to Thursday, there will be a full road closure between East State Street and the Conrail Railroad tracks. From Monday to Friday, there will be a lane shift at the intersection with Federal Street. From Monday to Friday, there will be a full road closure between Federal Street and the Conrail Railroad tracks.

·         Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. From Monday to Thursday, there will be full road closure between Atlantic Avenue and Whitman Avenue. From Monday to Friday, there will be a full road closure between Kaighn Avenue and Atlantic Avenue. From Monday to Friday, there will be a lane shift between Newton Avenue and Kaighn Avenue.

·         Crews will be working on Newton Avenue and Kaighn Avenue from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure on Newton Avenue between Chestnut Street and Kaighn Avenue, and a lane shift on Kaighn Avenue between South 3rd Street and South 5th Street.

·         Crews will be working on State Street from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between North 8th Street and North 10th Street.

Cherry Hill

  • Crews will be working on Cropwell Road from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. There will be a full road closure between Marlowe Road and Kresson Road.

Clementon

  • Crews will be working on White Horse Avenue from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30. There will be a lane shift from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will also be a partial eastbound road closure from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Collingswood

·         Crews will be working on West Cuthbert and Haddon Avenue from Monday, October 26, to Thursday, October 29, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Thursday night). There will be a full road closure of West Cuthbert Boulevard between Park Avenue in Haddon Township and Haddon Avenue in Collingswood. There will be lane restrictions and shifts on Haddon Avenue at the intersection with West Cuthbert Boulevard.

·         Crews will be working on Park Avenue from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure and sidewalk closures between Dill Avenue and Ogden Avenue.  

Gibbsboro

·         Verizon will be working on Clementon Road East on Monday, October 26, Tuesday, October 27, and Friday, October 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. On Monday and Tuesday, there will be a shoulder closure on Clementon Road East between Foster Avenue and Lakeview Drive South.  On Friday, there will be alternating traffic with flaggers on United States Avenue between Foster Avenue and Berlin Road.

·         Crews will be working on Clementon Road East on Wednesday, October 28, and Thursday, October 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Foster Avenue and Lakeview Drive North.

Gloucester Township

  • Crews will be working on Evesham Road from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township and West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) in Runnemede.

Haddon Heights

·         Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October30, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a lane closure between West Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.

·         PSE&G will be working on 602 Station Avenue on Wednesday, October 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between 7th Avenue and West Atlantic Avenue. 

Haddon Township

·         Crews will be working on West Cuthbert Boulevard and Haddon Avenue from Monday, October 26, to Thursday, October29, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (9 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Thursday night). There will be a full road closure of West Cuthbert Boulevard between Park Avenue in Haddon Township and Haddon Avenue in Collingswood. There will be lane restrictions and shifts on Haddon Avenue at the intersection with West Cuthbert Boulevard.

·         PSE&G will be working on Haddon Avenue on Tuesday, October 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Strawbridge Avenue and Stratford Avenue. 

Lindenwold

  • Crews will be working on White Horse Avenue from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30. Between Gibbsboro Road in Clementon and White Horse Pike in Lindenwold, there will be a  lane shift from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Pennsauken

  • Crews will be working on River Road on Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a shoulder closure between North 36th Street and Delair Avenue.

Pine Hill

  • Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue on Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Blackwood-Clementon Road and Erial Road.

Runnemede

  • Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township and West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) in Runnemede.

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
