Community leaders have organized two protests and marches for Saturday, August 15, and Thursday, August 20, to speak calling out for justice in the case of Kadir Skinner, the 19-year-old Black teenager who was shot in the back and killed by an officer with the Wilmington Police Department (WPD) in June.
Skinner’s family is represented by renowned national civil rights attorneys Harry Daniels and Ben Crump as well as Chance Lynch.
Saturday’s protest will begin at 2:30 PM in front of the Louis L. Redding City/County Building (800 North French Street) and protesters will march to Rodney Square.
Thursday’s protest will begin at 6:00 PM at Rodney Square and protesters will march to the Louis L. Redding City/County Building (800 North French Street).
