Woman Arrested After Fatal Car Crash in Lindenwold

A Pine Hill woman was arrested and charged following a fatal collision involving an e-bike on Saturday night, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Lindenwold Police Chief Michael McCarthy. On Saturday, August 15, 2026, at approximately 10:24 p.m., officers from the Lindenwold Police Department were dispatched to the 1900 block of Laurel Road for a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers found a motor vehicle had fatally struck a person riding an e-bike. The operator of the e-bike, identified as Erica Beeks, 46, of Lindenwold, was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 10:42 p.m.

Officers arrested the driver, identified as 65-year-old Deborah Carey, at the scene. Carey was charged with one count of 2nd -degree Death by Auto and issued multiple summons for traffic-related offenses, including driving under the influence. She was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility. The investigation is active and ongoing.
