Without a Cue Productions and Pops McCann Whiskey will put a spell on you with the debut of the first Hocus Pocus Speakeasy in Montgomery County, outside Philadelphia. This first-ever suburban seasonal pop-up will feature eight bewitchingly boozy weeks of mayhem, mixology and mischief. This new spooky playground will start on September 12 through November 8, 2026 at Montgomery Mall in North Wales, in the former location of Hot Topic (rumored to be haunted by the ghost of teen spirits). Every Saturday at 7:00pm and Sunday at 3:00pm, look for a special Hocus Pocus Experience with the Sanderson Sisters. These wickedly interactive weekly events will feature spellbinding performances, games and access to decorations, photo opportunities and theme “potions.” On Freaky Fridays during the run, look for broom making, cabarets and theme nights, such as Hocus Pocus Bingo, Hocus Pocus Broom Academy, Dirty Potter, Mrs. Roper Romp Bingo, Burlesque Bingo and other special events. “Grab your broomsticks, fluff up your wigs and prepare to get spellbound as Without a Cue Productions flies into Montgomery Mall for the first time for a special eight week pop-up for spooky season,” said Without a Cue Productions’ Founder and Executive Director Traci Connaughton. “Hocus Pocus Speakeasy will make its Philadelphia suburb debut in the former Hot Topic – known as an iconic store for Halloween over the generations and decades.”

Without a Cue Productions, one of the first female led and operated theatre and entertainment companies in the Greater Philadelphia region, will take over the space inside Montgomery Mall for eight weeks this year for the Hocus Pocus Speakeasy. It will also be home to other popular shows that tie in with the Halloween spirit. For theme drinks, WOC will team up with Pops McCann Whiskey for an exclusive custom cocktail list for the pop-up – bringing together decorations, live entertainment, talented actors and sinfully delicious sips.

Henry, an egotistical wizard with a mid-life crisis, is trying to cheer up his recently divorced mate, Don. They unexpectedly run into his ex, Hermia, an unlucky witch who is struggling to put herself through Magic Grad-school. And you’ll never guess which lucky wizard we have tending the bar! Without A Cue Productions invites you to Red Rum Theater for drinks, Wizarding Quizzo, and a magical evening you won’t soon forget!
During this immersive performance in our cabaret-style theater, you will interact with familiar characters as their drama unfolds. Between scenes, you will be quizzed on your wizarding world knowledge, competing with other players for the grand prize! This performance is for adults only – we all love our kids, but we also don’t mind a night out without them once in a while!

ABOUT TRACI CONNAUGHTON
Founder and Executive Director of Without A Cue Productions, LLC, Connaughton has been producing theater in the Philadelphia area since 2002. As a writer, director, and performer for the company, Connaughton is deeply involved in the company’s productions. She graduated with a Master’s of Science in Arts Administration from Drexel University in 2004 and is also an experienced charity development professional. She currently serves on the Board of Beacon Theater Productions. She has also worked as a tutor and teacher, and is the mother of two wonderful little girls.
