PHILADELPHIA – WMMR’s Preston & Steve are kicking off Camp Out for Hunger 2026 with the inaugural Camp Out for Hunger Kickoff Pep Rally, presented by NRG, at the Vivint Home Turf at Dilworth Park, 1 South 15th St., Philadelphia, on September 29 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The event will launch Camp Out for Hunger 2026 donation efforts by providing attendees with an opportunity to pick up food drive collection kits. The kits include everything necessary to start a food drive, including promotional posters and collection boxes. Plus, the pep rally will feature special guests, games, giveaways, and more.
“Camp Out for Hunger is one of Philadelphia’s most time-honored traditions because it brings the city together to support our neighbors in need,” said Keri Murschell, Director of Community & Sponsorship Marketing at NRG. “We’re proud to partner with Preston & Steve and Philabundance to kick off this year’s campaign and encourage even more people to get involved. Now in its 29th year, WMMR’s Preston & Steve’s Camp Out for Hunger is the nation’s largest single-site food drive and collects non-perishable food items for Philabundance. The Preston & Steve Show team spends the week broadcasting live from the parking lot at the Xfinity Mobile Arena and invites listeners to bring food donations and watch the show. Each morning is filled with special guests, musical acts, games, and more, and activities continue into the night. Camp Out for Hunger is a free, family-friendly event.
