PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — XFINITY Live! Philadelphia is set to unveil a new 12-foot bronze statue commemorating Joe Frazier, one of the most iconic Philadelphia athletes in history, during a free, open-to-the-public ceremony at XFINITY Live! on Saturday, September 12at 1 p.m. XFINITY Live! and Joe Hand Promotions were the lead contributors for this memorial.

LITTLE CREEK (Sept. 1, 2015) – A DNREC dredging project on the Little River to improve navigation and boater access, and enhance wildlife habitat through beneficial use of dredged material is featured in a new video on the DNREC YouTube Channel. The $1.01 million state-funded project – a collaborative effort between DNREC’s Divisions of Watershed Stewardship and Fish & Wildlife – began last month and includes dredging 79,000 cubic yards of material from the Little River channel, along with the removal of 30 dilapidated pilings and a derelict vessel from the waterway near Little Creek.

Beloved husband of 54 years to Judith Pattison (nee Fay). Dear father of Mark (Raquel) Pattison of Cherry Hill, NJ and Mary Kelly (Michael Nelson) of Audubon, NJ. Loving grandfather of Matthew and Ryan Pattison and Brielle and Damian Nelson. He is also lovingly survived by sister and brother-in-law, Betty Ann and Sam O\’Kane.

Bill was a 1955 graduate of Collingswood High School, attended Drexel University and served six years in the NJ National Guard. He had a 35 year career with Equifax Services, retiring as regional sales manager. Following retirement, Bill was employed with the Haddon Twp. school district, where he transported the athletic teams to their sporting events. He also volunteered in many activities, such as, School Board President of Holy Rosary, PTA President of Holy Saviour School, President of the HTAA and helped coach his children\’s sports teams. Bill was a huge sports fan, especially the Phillies. He never missed any of Matthew and Ryan\’s games and enjoyed his special times with Breezy and D.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday 9 to 10:30 AM at FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ. WEST PENN TOWNSHIP PA–The Pennsylvania State Police along with local authorities are investigating an assault against an officer that occurred on September 2, 2015 at 5:15 p.m. in West Penn Township. 

West Penn Township Sergeant Melissa Ruch

The American Mirror and ABC 6 identified the officer as West Penn Township Sergeant Melissa Ruch. She pulled her cruiser over on Pennsylvania’s Highway 309 and as she approached the \”disabled\” car, the man grabbed her and threw her over a guardrail. She tumbled down a steep 35-foot embankment, ABC 6 reports.

Ruch told officers she managed to use a stun gun on the man before she was thrown down the hill, the Times News reports.

The NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife is seeking angler input on WARMWATER and COOLWATER fishing experiences in New Jersey through an online survey. The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete and includes questions on species preferences, waterbody success, fishing tournaments and angler opinions on fishing opportunities for species such as Largemouth Bass, Muskellunge, Walleye, Channel Catfish and Hybrid Striped Bass.
