Prevalence of Marijuana Use Among U.S. Adults Doubles Over Past Decade

Surveys show 9.5 percent of Americans use marijuana; 30 percent of users meet criteria for a disorder

(October 21, 2015)CNBNEWSNET–The percentage of Americans who reported using marijuana in the past year more than doubled between 2001-2002 and 2012-2013, and the increase in marijuana use disorder during that time was nearly as large. Past year marijuana use rose from 4.1 percent to 9.5 percent of the U.S. adult population, while the prevalence of marijuana use disorder rose from 1.5 percent to 2.9 percent, according to national surveys conducted by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), part of the National Institutes of Health.

Kathleen M. Parry (nee DiFazio), on October 20, 2015, of Glendora, formerly of Runnemede. Age 76.

Beloved wife of the late Morris. Loving mother of Terri Lee (the late Jerome Bark, Jr.). Dear sister of Joanne Boccaleri (the late John). Loving cousin of Debbie Ferrigno (Jim). Cherished aunt of John Boccaleri (Debbie), Joni Bocchicchio (Tony), and Jeana Hill (Billy). Also survived 9 great nieces and nephews, 8 great-great nieces and nephews, and her beloved friend, Bear.

Kathy was a hairdresser for over 50 years and the owner of Kathy’s Hair Fashions in Haddonfield.

There will be a visitation from 11am to 12pm Saturday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Funeral service 12pm at the funeral home.

Entombment private at the request of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathy’s name to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
