Indiana Christmas Spectacular Prompts Suit

\"\" SOUTH BEND, Ind. (CN) – An Indiana high school\’s \”Christmas Spectacular,\” complete with a live nativity scene, Bible narration and \”Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,\” has prompted a federal civil rights lawsuit.
Represented in the Oct. 7 complaint by the American Civil Liberties Union, the Freedom From Religion Foundation notes that the performances in question have been produced for \”several decades\” at Concord High School in Elkhart, Ind.
\”This event is set to be staged again in early December of 2015,\” the complaint states. \”The plaintiffs – a nonprofit membership organization devoted to the separation of church and state, the father of a student at the high school who will attend the event, and a student at the high school who will participate in a separate segment of the event – all object to this portion of the \’Christmas Spectacular.\’\”

New Castle County man arrested for hunting illegally on Sunday, multiple deer violations

  

WILMINGTON Delaware(Oct. 12, 2015) – After investigating a report of a dead white-tailed deer on the front porch of a New Castle County residence, DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers arrested a Wilmington man Oct. 10 on numerous charges including illegal Sunday hunting and several deer hunting violations in connection with a nine-point buck taken by crossbow on private property Sunday, Oct. 4 and found in his possession.

OBITUARY: Ellen \”Sis\” Webb age 84 of Haddon Township; Ram Alumnus

 Passed suddenly on October 9, 2015. (nee Flynn) Formerly of Gloucester City. High School sweetheart and devoted wife of 64 years to Charles \”Bob\” Webb. Loving mother of Mary Ellen Norkis (Charles), Joan Costello and Barbara Miller (Matthew). Cherished grandmother of 8 adored grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Ellen graduated Gloucester Catholic High School where she remained a member of her Sorority. She was truly loved and will be terribly missed. 

 Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Thursday morning from 10 to 11:30 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth, St., Gloucester City. Catholic funeral service 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in New St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Bellmawr.
