Deputy Sheriff Brett Hawkins suffered a fatal heart attack following an emergency response.

The call involved a frantic subject and a subsequent search of the home and large surrounding area. He suffered the heart attack several hours after returning following his shift.

Police K-9 \”Brutus\”

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ–It is with regret that Police Chief Harry Earle announces the passing of retired Police K-9 \”Brutus\”. K-9 Brutus was a 9 year old German Shepherd who served honorably from 2007-2015 with Sgt. James Kaelin #130. Upon K-9 Brutus\’ retirement in earlier this year, Brutus lived with the Kaelin family as a loving pet. Our condolences are extended to the Sgt. Kaelin and his family, as well as our gratitude for the service of K-9 Brutus as a member of the Gloucester Township Police Family. 

Two weeks ago I wrote a piece titled, Exposing The Black Lives Matter Movement For What It Is: Promotion of Cop Killing. In the piece, I pointed to evidence of cop killer glorification and rhetoric used by the movement promoting the execution of police officers. After all, \”pigs in a blanket\” is a heinous description of dead police officers in body bags. You can read the piece in full here. 

Over the weekend, Kentucky State Trooper Joseph Cameron Ponder was trying to help Joseph Thomas Johnson-Shanks during a traffic stop. After discovering Johnson-Shanks\’ license was expired, Ponder was shot dead. Eventually Johnson-Shanks was chased down by other officers and when he refused to drop his weapon, he was killed. 

It turns out, Johnson-Shanks was part of the Black Lives Matter Movement, the bogus \”hands up don\’t shoot\” narrative and attended the funeral of Michael Brown (who was killed by a police officer after attempting to take away his firearm in a patrol car) in Ferguson, Missouri last year. NEWARK, N.J. – An employee of a New Jersey based-trucking company was arrested today and charged with swindling her employer out of more than $1 million by issuing company checks for her own benefit, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.

On September 14, 2015. Age 49. Of Gloucester City. Survived by his loving daughters, Clorissa Durr and Courtney Durr and their mother, Pamela Rose Durr. Beloved son of Charlotte Durr (nee Malloy) and Charles D. Durr, Sr. Loving brother of Steven and Daniel Durr. Cherished nephew of Patricia Lanzilotta and Michael Malloy. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 26^th at 9 AM at St. Mary’s Church: 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Interment will be private.

Ann M. Korpan (nee Crowley), on September 12, 2015, of Runnemede. Age 84.

Beloved wife of the late Peter Korpan. Devoted mother of John (Jolene) of California and Robert of New Jersey. Loving grandmom of Grace Torok (Brian), Jeanette Luckmann (Michael), and Marissa Korpan. Dear sister of Patricia Kaminski, Karen O’Brien, James Crowley (Patricia), and Wilmer Crowley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ann worked as a librarian for the Runnemede Library, a volunteer tax assistant for AARP, and a kindergarten aide. She enjoyed genealogy and was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors Chapter #142.
