Joan M. Prince, 93, of Collingswood

Joan M. Prince (nee Keefe) passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, of Collingswood, NJ. Age 93 years.

Beloved wife of 53 years to the late Thomas R. Price, Jr. Dear mother of Thomas (Diane), Glenn (Barbara) and Darren (Joanne). Loving grandmother of Sarah (Joseph), Ryan, Evan, Richard, Steven and Catherine and great grandmother to Lylah and Grace.

Joan was a 1950 graduate of John Bartram High School, Philadelphia, PA and attended Pierce Business School in Philadelphia. Joan was totally dedicated to raising her family.

Romeo and Juliet at the Academy of Music

It’s “wherefore art thou” with a twist.

Shakespeare’s tale of two star-crossed lovers comes to life in this ballet version of Romeo and Juliet, with new choreography set to Sergei Prokofiev’s score.

Need a refresher on the timeless tragedy? Two young lovers from feuding families secretly get married, misunderstandings ensue and (430-year-old spoiler warning) they die — but it’s really all about the journey along way.

The performance’s choreographer, Juliano Nunes, stands out in the ballet world for his modern, fluid and almost cinematic approach to dance, allowing him to remix multiple forms of art in ways that appeal to new generations.

Dud was especially quiet this morning, sitting in his usual seat at the philosophy counter of the Mule Barn truck stop. He was doodling with his napkin and a feed store ball-point pen.

Doc looked over to see if he could make it out. He couldn’t. Bert adjusted his glasses and looked over.

“Murder?” said Bert.

“What?”

“You wrote murder on the napkin,” Bert said. “Did I say something wrong?”

“Naw,” Dud said, blushing a bit. “It’s my book, that’s all.”

“Still having trouble trying to figure it out?” Doc said, kindly.

“The publishing company suggests I outline it first to kinda get to know where everything goes before rewriting it this time. And you know what they said about the murders…”

Marguerite V. Danaher, 98, of Gloucester City

Marguerite V. Danaher (née Berry), of Gloucester City, passed away on April 18, 2026, at the age of 98, in her home cared for and loved by her children.

Born on July 22, 1927, in Gloucester City, Marguerite was a lifelong resident of the community she loved. She was the devoted daughter of the late John Berry and Cecilia Berry (nee Matthews). Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Danaher, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. A woman of deep faith, Marguerite was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Gloucester City.
