Virtua is First in N.J. to Launch Mobile Integrated Health Program

  •      Virtua worked with N.J. Dept. of Health to create regulations allowing Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) programs statewide.
  •       MIH sends paramedics and EMTs to provide chronic disease management and preventive care in your home.

A new program by Virtua Health enables its paramedics and EMTs to provide a range of non-emergency care in people’s homes, and coordinate care with a person’s doctors and care teams. The model, known as Mobile Integrated Health, is designed to support earlier intervention, reduce avoidable hospital admissions and emergency department visits, and improve overall health outcomes.
