Woodbury, NJ – A jury found Jason L. Bailey, 48, of Paulsboro, guilty of multiple offenses related to the sexual assault of a teenager Tuesday following an eight day trial before the Honorable Benjamin D. Morgan, Prosecutor Andrew B. Johns announced.
According to documents filed in this case and statements made in open court: On Dec. 10, 2023, Bailey committed acts of sexual assault on a girl between the ages of 13 and 16. Upon his arrest for this offense, he refused to provide a mandatory DNA sample as required by law.

On Monday evening, 14th District Officers responded to the woods near the intersection of Wissahickon Creek and Germantown Avenue at approximately 6:41 p.m., where they located the skeletal remains of an adult. Due to the condition of the remains, the individual’s race and gender have not yet been determined. Investigators from the Medical Examiner’s Office will begin the recovery process and work toward a formal identification.

The pictured suspect was waiting in line at the Sunoco Store’s register when the victim in front of him finished a purchase and dropped their wallet while exiting the store. The suspect then made a purchase, turned to exit, and observed the wallet on the floor. The suspect then picked up the wallet and immediately concealed it into his pants pocket while exiting the store and walking to his dark colored Honda with no front registration tag and Pennsylvania inspection stickers on the windshield.

NEW YORK CITY (CNBNews)(April 21, 2026)— A dramatic scene played out on the Upper West Side on April 15 when an NYPD Mounted Unit officer, patrolling the neighborhood on horseback, chased down a robbery suspect in broad daylight.
According to police, the officer was riding Kelly, a retired racehorse now serving with the Mounted Unit, when a woman allegedly snatched a purse near West 72nd Street and Columbus Avenue. NYPD body‑camera footage shows the officer urging Kelly into a full gallop as they pursued the fleeing suspect through the busy Manhattan corridor.
The NYPD later commented on the unusual takedown, saying, “Whether on foot or on hooves, our officers are always ready.”
With help from a witness who pointed out the direction of travel, the officer closed in, recovered the stolen purse, and took the alleged purse thief into custody.
According to the Toms River Patch, Kelly was rescued by the Standardbred Retirement Foundation from a “kill pen” in 2020, the foundation’s Executive Director, Judy Bokman, told Patch.

BENSALEM, PA (CNBNEWS)(April At 8:53 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, Bensalem Police responded to the parking lot at Parx Casino regarding an unattended child inside a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers located a 14-month-old child in the backseat of a locked vehicle that was not running, with the windows closed. The child appeared to be sleeping but was visibly sweating, as outside temperatures were in the mid-80s.
Officers were able to gain entry to the vehicle and safely remove the child. The child’s father was contacted, and Bensalem EMS transported the child to St. Mary Medical Center, where he was evaluated and later released to his father.

MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS–K9 Floki was shot and killed while working the back perimeter of the Marshall County Correctional Facility at 833 West Street in Holy Springs. K9 Floki patrolled the back perimeter to prevent contraband. He was found the next morning when officers went to bring him food and water. There is a reward for the arrest and conviction of the suspects involved in K9 Floki’s murder. K9 Floki was 7 years old and was used for narcotics detection and tracking.
Nicholas Bounasis, 40, of the Sewell section of Mantua, was sentenced Friday to 30 years in state prison without parole by the Honorable Kevin T. Smith for charges of aggravated sexual assault and distribution of child sexual abuse material pursuant to a plea agreement.
According to documents filed in this case and statements made in open court: Bounasis was arrested on June 27, 2024, following the execution of a search warrant of his residence by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Unit. During the search, detectives found devices belonging to Bounasis containing images of child sexual abuse and exploitation, and evidence that Bounasis had sent those images to other individuals via the internet. The investigation further found Bounasis had sexually assaulted a 6-month-old child.

Paul E. Blight, 52, of Williamstown, was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree possession of child sexual abuse material on Thursday, Prosecutor Andrew B. Johns announced.
According to documents filed in this case:
The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an individual uploading filed of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). An investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at Blight’s residence where several electronic devices allegedly belonging to Blight were found. Forensic analysis of the devices found they contained 33,956 images and 1,018 videos of CSAM.

Jorge Lopez, M/35, of Gloucester City, and Jose Cortes, M/38, of Riverton, are each charged with two counts of Murder for the deaths of Christopher Humphrey, M/34, of Franklinville, and Jose Vega, M/35, of Camden. The two victims were found fatally shot at 33rd and Farragut streets on December 22, 2013.
Lopez was arrested April 11 in Camden and Cortes was taken into custody Monday, April 14 in Riverton, NJ.
