— Photo by K. Kelly for Visit Philadelphia

March 28-29, 2026

Nothing says spring in Philly quite like the bursts of pink and white cherry blossoms in Fairmount Park.

The annual Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of Greater Philadelphia gets even more magical in 2026 as the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia celebrates both the 100th anniversary of Japan’s gift of 1,600 flowering trees and the nation’s Semiquincentennial with the addition of 250 new trees — and some fresh festival features. Look forward to a more live entertainment, a reimagined food court and beer garden, and a special performance by the Philadelphia Mummers.

The Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center presents the citywide celebration of blossoms during peak bloom and offers traditional dancing and taiko drumming performances, concerts, tours and so much more.
