For the first time in history, the Democratic Congress will not allow an increase in the social security COLA (cost of living adjustment), YET voted themselves a \’cost of living\’ raise. In the midst of a serious recession!

This is NOT Democratic congress people\’s money…it is money the Seniors have paid into out of their own paychecks for all the decades they\’ve been working. In fact, The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation predicts there may not be any COLA for the next three years. They\’re robbing older people…like Chicago street thugs.

However, the per person monthly Medicare insurance premium will be increased from the 2009 premium of $96.40 to $104.20 in 2010 and to $120.20 for the year 2011.

Send this to all seniors that you know.

Remind them not to vote for the incumbent senators and congressmen in the 2010 and the 2012 elections. It\’s time to stop the madness…

Public Meeting to be Held August 12

(New York, N.Y. – July 30, 2015) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has proposed modifications to the plan to address contaminated groundwater at the Shieldalloy Metallurgical Corp. site in Newfield and Vineland, N.J. A plan originally put into place by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection when it was mainly responsible for the site had required a system that pumps the groundwater out of the ground and treats it. The new EPA plan proposed today instead calls for using non-hazardous additives to treat the groundwater and break down the contaminants and then allow the contaminants to naturally decline while monitoring them.

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson announced a Sicklerville man was sentenced today to 60 years in state prison for shooting his daughter in 2013.

Byaer Johnson, 28, was convicted by a jury in June of first-degree attempted murder and several other offenses. Superior Court Judge John T. Kelley imposed the sentenced today.

During the trial, the victim, who was 11 at the time of the shooting, faced her father in court and testified that he visited her at her mother’s home in Camden on the night of January 24, 2013.

According to the testimony, Johnson was sitting with the victim as well as her mother and stepfather in the living room when he revealed a handgun and stated, \”Allah Akbar. We all must die.\” Johnson then walked toward his daughter, told her to shut up and shot her at close range in the face.

After shooting the girl, Johnson pointed the gun at the victim’s stepfather, but the gun did not fire. The victim’s stepfather was able to disarm Johnson and the defendant fled.

The victim, now paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair as a result of the shooting, was present in court for the sentencing.

In asking the court to impose a life sentence, Assistant Prosecutor Rachael Minardi described the shooting as a \”heinous, violent, awful crime.\” She noted the shooting occurred without provocation and has significantly impacted the victim.

Johnson received a 50-year sentence on the attempted murder charge and a consecutive 10-year sentence for a certain persons weapon offense. He will not be eligible for parole for 47 years and six months.

LEGACY

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Hank served in the United States Army during World War II and re-enlisted for a second term. He earned the European African Medal, Eastern Campaign Medal with one Bronze Star, Army of Occupation Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
Following his service time, Hank returned home and married a young woman named Blanche Alton. Together they shared 59 years of marriage and raised two daughters that completed their family. Hank worked for RCA for more than 35 years until his retirement in 1979.
Away from work, Hank enjoyed coin collecting and spending time with his family creating memories that they will now cherish as his legacy.

He is the beloved husband of the late Blanche (nee Alton); loving father of Blanche (Bob) Hunsberger and Alice (Michael) Fossell; cherished grandfather of Robert Di Paul Hunsberger and special \”Pop Pop\” to Tara Kozik, Ed Kurek, III and Sharon Olivieri.
