Indiana State Trooper Mike Wood with the baby deer he rescued after it became stranded on Interstate 70.

THE STORY: At around 9 am on a recent morning, various motorists along Indiana’s Interstate 70 reported a \”baby deer\” in the median near the 48.5-mile marker. Callers said the baby deer was alive and appeared to be so young, that someone should check out the situation. Trooper Mike Wood of the Putnamville Post was subsequently dispatched to investigate.

WACO, Tex. — The deadly shootout here on Sunday between rival motorcycle gangs has led to what appears to be the largest roundup and mass arrest of bikers in recent American history, experts said. As the roughly 170 people facing organized-crime charges in the case continued to clog up the local court system on Tuesday, new details emerged about the disputes that led to the violence.

\”Out of 32 years working biker cases, this is the biggest one I have seen in the United States,\” said Steve Trethewy, who works in the intelligence unit of the Arizona Department of Public Safety. \”The case will be a challenge for law enforcement. I am glad I am not the investigator. It is huge.\”

Managing the flood of suspects has proved difficult for Waco officials, who have been criticized by defense lawyers for setting bond for all of the defendants at $1 million each. Three suspects were released at far lower bond levels, but the authorities refused to characterize the release as a mistake, saying the three men had been arrested outside the perimeter Sunday and processed separately from the others.

WOODBURY NJ May 22, 2015–Marible Robles (1/11/73), of Camden NJ pleaded guilty today to a charge of third-degree criminal mischief, acknowledging that she caused a fire in a South Broad Street apartment building on 9/4/14.

 Questioned by her attorney, Robles said the fire was started by either a match or a cigarette and she acknowledged it resulted in more than $2,000 in damage.

If there’s one thing that the media hates more than criticism, Save Jerseyans, it’s when one of the targets of its bias demands an apology for it.

We showed you the video on Thursday. \”I do believe there’s an absolute bias and a rush to judgment. You all know this, you saw the coverage of me 15 months ago. I was guilty, I had done it,\” Governor Chris Christie opined on CNBC’s Squawk Boxprogram, referring of course to the Bridgegate scandal. \”Now we’re 15 months later, where are the apologies pouring in? Not one thing I said the day after the bridge situation has been proven wrong.\”

And now they’re furious! One of my favorite left-of-center writers, New Jersey’s own Olivia Nuzzi of the Daily Beast, penned an amusingly sarcastic piece apologizing to Christie for the media having done its job. Yup, the Christie/MSM relationship has officially come full circle.

Does he deserve an apology? \”Sort of\” is probably the most honest answer…
