Philadelphia Zoo Debuts Zoo360 Trail for Bears

Philadelphia Zoo is thrilled to share that its new resident bears are now exploring the Zoo’s first Zoo360 trail for bears and spending time in a brand-new habitat built as a part of Francis J. Carey Bear Country. Gould & Potter Crossing, 60 feet long and 16 feet in the air, is the latest in the expansion of the Zoo360 trails at Philadelphia Zoo that began in 2011 and the first one the Zoo’s resident bears can use. Bhalu, Carey Bear Country is a $25 million state-of-the-art facility built with the highest standards of animal care in mind, making it one of the best in the country for vulnerable bears. Not only does Carey Bear Country enhance the Zoo’s animal care program, it creates a dynamic, memorable and educational experience for guests of all ages and backgrounds, and supports the Zoo’s conservation programs to protect these species in zoos and in the wild. Carey Bear Country is now home to Andean bears, Turbo and Alba, and sloth bear, Bhalu.

The Fishtown District is bringing the magic of the season to summer with a Christmas in July edition of the Under the El Bazaar on Saturday, July 18, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm beneath the Market-Frankford El along the 1700 block of North Front Street. This no charge, family-friendly event transforms the space under the El into a festive holiday marketplace featuring local artisans, makers, vintage vendors, food, drinks, music, games and plenty of summer holiday spirit.

Tuskegee Airman Invite Public to Explore Historic Exhibits

The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. continues to preserve and share the extraordinary legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen through ongoing community exhibits designed to educate, inspire and engage visitors of all ages.

Held at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Horsham Branch of American Heritage Federal Credit Union, the exhibits feature historical photographs, artifacts and educational displays highlighting the accomplishments, courage and lasting impact of the Tuskegee Airmen and the men and women who supported military aviation during World War II.

America’s Largest GLUTEN-FREE Food Festival Returns

The largest gluten-fr ee food festivals in the country is coming to the Greater Philadelphia region this summer for what organizers are calling the “best gluten-fr ee day ever.” The Wicked Gluten Fr ee Expo & Food Festival takes over the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:00am to 5:00pm. This year’s festival is set to be the single largest gluten-fr ee event in the state of Pennsylvania, with organizers expecting to welcome 5,000 attendees. In honor of America’s 250th, Wicked Gluten Fr ee will open the day with a “Freedom from Gluten” cake-cutting ceremony at 10:00am, featuring a specially designed, celiac-safe cake from The Happy Mixer Gluten Fr ee Bakery.
