Deputy Sheriff Steven Bruner, 40, suffered a fatal medical emergency after assisting people in evacuating from the Mossy Pond Fire.

The fire has ravaged over 500 acres, evacuating over 100 people, destroying 15 dwellings and 7 outbuildings, leaving at least 43 displaced people.

Corporal Timothy O’Connor, 40, was shot and killed during a traffic stop in West Caln Township, near the intersection of Michael Road and Route 10 in West Caln Township, at approximately 8:24 p.m.

While responding to a complaint about an erratic driver, Corporal O’Connor located and pulled the vehicle over. When Corporal O’Connor approached the vehicle, the driver shot from inside the vehicle, fatally wounding Corporal O’Connor.

Philly CBP Intercepts 2 Europe-Bound Marijuana Loads

PHILADELPHIA – Two women are facing felony drug possession charges after U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers intercepted 97 pounds of marijuana in smuggling attempts on consecutive days this week at Philadelphia International Airport.

CBP officers seized 41 pounds of marijuana on March 16 and another 56 pounds on March 17 that were discovered in baggage being loaded onto flights bound for Europe. CBP narcotics detector dog Fredo, a 3-year-old male German shepherd, alerted officers to the marijuana.

I-295 South Closed, Detoured Wed–Thu Nights in Bellmawr

The I-295 southbound ramp to Route 42 southbound and I-295 southbound, also known as Al-Jo’s Curve, is scheduled to be closed and detoured Wednesday and Thursday nights as the Direct Connection project advances in Bellmawr, Camden County. This is a continuation of work that began in January.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 until 5 a.m. Thursday, March 26 and again Thursday, March 26 at the same time, the I-295 southbound ramp to Route 42 southbound and
I-295 southbound, also known as Al-Jo’s Curve, is scheduled to be closed and detoured. The right lane on I-295 southbound also will be closed just after Exit 28/Route 168. All motorists traveling on I-295 southbound will be directed to stay left onto Exit 26. The closures are necessary for bridge steel installation and retaining wall construction. The following detour will be in place:
