Justice for Kadir Skinner Rally to Feature National Civil Rights Leader

National religious, moral and civil rights leader and Repairers of the Breach President Bishop William J. Barber II will join renowned national civil rights attorney Harry Daniels, Rev. Dr. Dray Bland and leaders from across the community for a major rally and protest calling out for justice in the case of Kadir Skinner,  the 19-year-old Black teenager who was shot in the back and killed by an officer with the Wilmington Police Department (WPD) in June.

The rally will be held 7:00 PM Monday, August 24, at Shiloh Baptist Church (215 W 23rd Street, Wilmington, DE).

Skinner’s family is represented by renowned national civil rights attorneys Harry Daniels and Ben Crump as well as Chance Lynch

The shooting has sparked national outcry particularly following July’s release of body camera video which has raised serious questions about the narrative WPD promoted to the public following the shooting. The event will feature remarks from Bishop Barber, Daniels and Rev. Bland.
