Surrounded by her family, on February 3, 2020. Age 74. Of Gloucester City. Loving mother of Tina Snow, Marie “Sue” Snow and Richard Snow. Cherished grandmother of Kaitlynn (Bradley) Kaighn, Korin Panichella, Danielle Panichella, Haley Champion (Michael Grubb), Rachel Panichella and Emily Champion and great-grandmother of Alessia, Ian, Joseph, Gia, Julian, Allie and Thomas. Beloved sister of Anna Weaver, Rose Morrow, Frank Morrow, Cathy Gettings, Robert Morrow, Sandy Maffett, and the late Mary Snow. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Clara was born in Camden City, NJ on August 23, 1945 to the late Elmer and Gwendolyn Sailer. She worked many years as a waitress at the Elgin Diner, Black Horse Diner, and Brooklawn Diner.

Thomas P. Caruso of Wildwood, formerly of Runnemede

Thomas P. Caruso, passed peacefully after a courageous two year battle with cancer on February 5, 2020, of Wildwood; formerly of Runnemede. Age 62.

Beloved son of the late Paul and Cass. Devoted brother of Paul Caruso (Linda) and Cathy Ingrasci (Pete). Loving uncle of Courtney Caruso (Scott Papetti), Samantha Caruso, Peter Ingrasci, and Katie Ingrasci.

–Deputy Sheriff Richard Whitten succumbed to complications of a gunshot wound sustained on May 29th, 2019, while responding to a shots fired call

in Cleveland, Texas.

He was en route to a training class and had just driven past the scene of the double-murder when the shooting was dispatched over the radio. As he responded back to the scene and encountered the suspect fleeing in a vehicle. Deputy Whitten and a member of the Cleveland Independent School District Police Department pursued the subject onto CR 2243, where the man immediately pulled into the parking lot of a veterinary office.

As Deputy Whitten challenged the subject the man produced a handgun and opened fire, striking him in the neck and paralyzing him. The other officer returned fire as the subject fled. The man later committed suicide after being located by other officers.

Deputy Whitten was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital, in Houston, in critical condition. On February 3rd, 2020, he suffered a complication while undergoing physical therapy and passed away.

Deputy Whitten had served with the Liberty County Sheriff\’s Office for four years.

Agnes M. Trione, Audubon Teacher, Community Activist, GCHS Alumus

Agnes M. Trione (nee Austin), of Marlton, previously of Audubon, passed away February 3, 2020. Age 74. Beloved wife of Michael Trione. Loving mother of Nicole Trione (Michael Williams). Caring sister of Margaret Garris (Michael), Patricia Nallen (Edward) and the late John Austin. Agnes is also survived by many nieces,

Agnes was a teacher in the Audubon School District for 34 years and was a member of many teacher associations including the NEA, NJEA, CCCEA, and AEA. She was also very involved in her community as part of the Evesham Township Planning Board, School Board, Historical Society and Twinning Association. She was graduate of Gloucester Catholic, Class of ‘63.

Judy Lee Connelly (Hopkins), 74 of Brooklawn, NJ passed away peacefully on February 2, 2020, with her loving family surrounding her. Judy was the beloved wife of Daniel Connelly and beloved mother of their children, Randy (Patti), Christopher (Linda), Lisa (Jack), Eric (Andrea), Jennifer (John), and Daniel (Lynn). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Alex, Josh, Brittany, Christopher, Sydney, Paige, Elizabeth, Michael, Mackenzie, Jenna, Carly, Emma, and Adriana, and 8 great grandchildren, her brother Curtis, her sister Terry, and many nieces and nephews. Her nieces Paulette, Dawn and Tracy held a special place in her heart. Judy was predeceased by her parents James and Marjorie Hopkins, sister Karen Fisher, brother Lynn Hopkins and her grandson, Eric, Jr.

Judy worked at Package Materials in Haddonfield, NJ for 35 years. Judy dedicated most of her life to her family as they were her pride and joy. Everything was about family! She had a beautiful heart and always loved above and beyond. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were always the apple of her eye. Judy took such good care of everyone and if anyone needed or wanted anything she was always ready to help.

Andy A. Domanick, Heavy Equipment Operator for Holt Logistics

Confidence is the measure of the honesty of your selfishness. Andy A. Domanick was stone hearted, funny and very organized. Unfortunately, he was a Dallas Cowboys fan. He took life for granted until Wednesday January 29th, 2020 when it came to an end after 58 years.

Andrew was born in Woodbury and had spent many of his early years in center city Mantua. He graduated from Clearview High School, class of 1980 and had contributed to the manpower of our great nation upholding the ideals of our American freedoms, in the United States Navy. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Holt Logistics at the Gloucester City Marine Terminal and had been a member of the Gloucester City VFW Post 3620. At home, Andy enjoyed professional wrestling and collecting baseball cards. He spent his time on the Delaware river bank fishing and walking with his metal detector.

Andy is the widower of the late Ann M. (nee Watson) Domanick, and was predeceased by his doggy companion \”Diddy\”. He is the son of Gloria (nee Pote) & the late Thomas \”Buddy\” Domanick, Sr. Andy is the brother of Tom and his wife Marie, Joseph Domanick, Matthew & his wife Lorraine and Valerie & her husband Wes Russell. He is also survived and will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, Ashton, Tommy, Jamie, Sean, Kayla, Brandy, Samantha, Matthew and great nephews, Kelle, Holden and Finley.

Eleanor Jane Hansen, 81, of Haddonfield, NJ

Eleanor Jane Hansen, 81, of Haddonfield, NJ, passed away on Friday, January 30

at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital after a brief illness. Born on January 19, 1939 in New York, NY, she was raised in midtown Manhattan by her parents Cornelius and Ella Curtin. In the mid-70s, Eleanor moved to Atlantic County, NJ, and in her late 30s, she attended Stockton State College, graduating with a

bachelor’s degree in 1980. She then obtained her master’s degree in English from Rutgers University, which launched her 30-year career as a college writing instructor. Over the years, Eleanor taught at Stockton State College, Rowan University, Atlantic Community College, and, in her later years, at Thomas Edison University.

An avid reader and sports fan (Dodgers and Redskins), Eleanor was beloved by her students due to her strong presence in the classroom and her wide range of interests. Whether it was pop culture, modern sports, contemporary music, current and classic literature, history, or politics, Eleanor’s vast knowledge base was treasured by her students. She did not miss an episode of Jeopardy, and she usually dominated. Eleanor was also a major cat lover and supporter.

She is survived by her two sons Thomas and John Hansen (wife Holli Hansen) and her five grandchildren Christian, Nicholas, Benjamin, Olivia, and Crystal Hansen.

At the request of the family, cremation is private and there is no service.

On January 24, 2020, Bryan passed way at home in Pine Hill surrounded by his family at the age of 60. Loving husband of 41 years to Tammy Reinhardt Sharp. Loving father of

Jason Sharp (Amanda), William Sharp and Jessie Sharp (Amanda). Cherished grandfather of Amber, Aleena, Bruce, Charlie, Jessie, Aidan and Melanie. Beloved brother of Linda Ryan (Tom) and brother-in-law of Robyn, Lisa and Susan. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Bryan was born on April 6, 1959 in Philadelphia, PA to the late William J. and Barbara Sharp (nee Heitz). He was a graduate of Gloucester City High School class of 1977. Bryan had lifetime, dedicated career in Emergency Services and was a former Fire Police Chief in Camden County.
