The Rowan Men’s Track & Field Team took home the NCAA Division III Indoor Championship with a total of 76 points and featured a pair of individual winners on Saturday to help the Profs secure its first-ever national indoor title. The two-day meet was held at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

Rowan’s Madison Rothwein (Mt Royal, NJ/Kingsway Regional) has been named the IWLCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in the #23 Profs’ two wins last week.
The sophomore midfielder delivered a dominant two-way performance during a 2–0 week for #23 Rowan, which was highlighted by a 13-11 road win over #14 Stevens. Across the two contests, Rothwein recorded 12 draw controls, five caused turnovers, and 10 ground balls, playing a key role in controlling possession for the Profs on both ends of the field.

Rowan’s Brayden Davis, Kyle Lamanteer and Madison Rothwein were honored in their respective sports as NJAC Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 8. It marks the first NJAC honors of the year for all three Profs.
Davis (Chatsworth, NJ/Seneca Tabernacle) was named the Baseball Player of the Week as he had a superb start to the season, batting .769 (10-for-13) in #8 Rowan’s first three games. The junior totaled four runs, 10 RBI, five doubles and three home runs in the three wins.

April 1, 2016 (Cleary’s Notebook News)--Gloucester Catholic Head Coach Adam Tussey (photo labove) notched his 1st win as the new coach by beating Kingsway High School 7 – 1 in the Rams home opener. Tussey who took over for Mike Rucci who departed for Rowan University was left a team needing to fill seven spots. The 2015 team loaded with future college players took not only seven fielding positions but Tussey needed to replace four pitchers.

Freshman Kyle Lamanteer hit two home runs and Brayden Davis added one in #8 Rowan’s 7-3 win over Vermont State Castleton, paving the way for a doubleheader sweep while the Profs captured the second game, 14-3, in seven innings. Rowan (3-0) hit a total of six home runs on the day in the rescheduled game played at Diamond Nation.
Davis went 7-for-8 at the plate on the day, with a total of five doubles in the two games. He also drove in four runs and scored two.

The Profs improve to 3-1 on the year.
Durboraw made five of those saves in the final two minutes, while facing seven shots by Stevens (2-2), including two free-position shots to preserve the win for the Profs.
With a tight game the entire 60 minutes, Rowan broke the 11-11 tie with two late goals in a span of a minute. Alexis Lowry scored the game-winning goal at 3:13, and Harris followed with the insurance goal at 2:06 off a pass from Corson.
The Profs trailed, 5-3, at halftime, but put together a strong third quarter, outscoring the Ducks, 6-3. Goals by Jess Hoffmaster and Madison Rothwein tied the game at 5-5, and after the teams traded goals, Stevens went ahead, 8-6. The Profs fought back as Fiona Lockhart netted one and Corson followed with two to put Rowan ahead again, 9-8, heading into the final period.
The teams were tied three more times in the fourth with Stevens knotting the game at 11-11 with 8:13 to play, setting the stage for Lowry’s gamewinner.
The second quarter was all Stevens as they outscored Rowan, 4-0, and took a 5-3 halftime lead. Rowan owned a 3-1 lead at the end of the first quarter on goals by Corson, Harris and Lockhart.
The Profs will face another Top 25 team on Wednesday when they host #17 Scranton at 4 p.m.
Brayden Davis hit two home runs, including a three-run shot in the bottom of the 11th, as #8 Rowan walked off a 9-7 win over #21 Penn State Harrisburg in the Profs’ season opener which had been rescheduled and moved 260 miles away.
Rowan’s first four games were canceled or postponed due to weather and field conditions. The Profs will play again this weekend, hosting a doubleheader against Vermont State Castleton that will be played at Diamond Nation in Flemington, NJ. First pitch is 11 a.m.

Jason Schooley also hit his first home run as a Prof, with a solo shot in the eighth that broke a 2-2 tie, while he had two RBI. Damon Suriani and Joey Bogart each had two hits on the day and Evan McCoach scored three runs in his Rowan debut.
Preseason All-American Zach Coluccio got the ball for opening day and went 5.0 innings, giving up two runs and striking out four. Christian Rice turned in a solid 3.0 innings with a personal-best seven strikeouts. Mark Grubb, Jake Andrey and Jack Norton made appearances in the late innings with Norton earning his first win as a Prof.
The Lions took a 7-6 lead in the top of the 11th by James Quici. McCoach led off the Profs’ half of the inning being hit by a pitch. Nick Struble walked, setting the stage for Davis, who homered to centerfield to score McCoach and pinch runner Anthony Pallone and set off the Profs’ celebration.
PSU Harrisburg (5-2) used a three-run triple by Cory Baker in the top of the ninth to take a 6-4 lead. But in the bottom half of the inning, Davis came through with a two-run homer to send the game into extra innings, scoring McCoach, who had singled.
The teams were tied, 2-2, in the eighth before Schooley broke that with a solo shot to right field. The Profs went up, 4-2, when pinch hitter Brett Chiesa singled and brought home pinch runner Kyle Lamanteer, who ran for Ian Murphy after his single.
PSU Harrisburg opened the scoring in the first inning with a run on one hit and one Rowan error.
Rowan jumped ahead in the bottom of the first as Davis lifted a sacrifice fly to score McCoach, who led off being hit by a pitch. Schooley laid down a sacrifice bunt to bring home Suriani from third to give the Profs a 2-1 lead. The Lions tied the game in the fourth, stringing together three hits.
#23 Rowan scored six unanswered goals in the third quarter to earn a 15-7 win over Ursinus in women’s lacrosse action. Elaina Corson scored four goals and Trish Gillen and Alexis Lowry had three apiece as the Profs improved to 2-1.
Corson and Lowry each also added two assists and Madison Rothwein scored twice for the Profs.
Lowry had three of her goals during that six-goal spurt in the third quarter. Leading by only 5-4 at the start of the period, Rothwein netted the first just one minute in and Lowry followed with a free-position goal. Gillen scored and then Lowry tallied two in a row, with the second assisted by Fiona Lockhart. Lockhart finished off the quarter as she scored with :40 to play, which was set up by Gillen.

Teflon Promotion to host Re:Play Volume 2 on March 7th at The Alan Horwitz “Sixth Man” Center
Following the success of their return to Philadelphia in November 2025, Teflon Promotion returns to the Alan Horwitz “Sixth Man” Center (4250 Wissahickon Avenue, Philadelphia) at 6:30 p.m. on March 7, 2026 for Re:Play Volume 2.
“I can’t wait for this event,” said Teflon Promotion owner Dom Walton. “If anyone thought November was a good card, this one is even better and promises to be a night of knockouts. We are bringing back some fan-favorites to this card that the fans loved at our previous event.”

Corson, the senior All-American, added three assists, while Fiona Lockhart and Alexis Lowry netted three goals each and Trish Gillen scored two. For Rothwein, it marked the first game as a Prof for the sophomore transfer.
Corson scored three goals in the first quarter, and Lockhart chipped in with two, as the Profs staked a 9-0 lead. Rothwein, Jess Hoffmaster and Alexis Lowry each added goals in Rowan’s opening quarter of 2026.
Rothwein kept the streak going with the first goal of the second quarter before LVC got on the board at 8:28, and the Prof added another. Corson and Yasmin Harris closed out the scoring to give Rowan a 13-1 halftime lead.
Corson opened the scoring in the third quarter and the teams traded goals, with Lowry picking up the second of that period to give the Profs a commanding 15-3 advantage.
LVC (1-2) netted the first goal of the fourth quarter before Gillen, Lowry and Rothwein tallied Rowan’s final goals of the evening.
Rowan opens the home slate on Saturday when it hosts Muhlenberg at 1 p.m. on “Friends and Family Day”.
