GLOUCESTER CITY NJ May 11, 2015 (CNBNews.net)–Gloucester City Police, on May 6, at 3:45pm, responded to the area of 8th and Cherry Streets for a pedestrian/motor vehicle accident where the suspect in the vehicle fled.
Through interviews and investigation it was learned that the driver of the suspect vehicle purposely ran over the victim, pushing him through a fence and into a residence, which caused damage to the foundation of the residence. The suspect then backed over the victim’s legs and attempted to run him over a third time before the victim was able to move. The suspect had threatened to kill the victim over a long standing dispute. The suspect fled the area, but was positively identified.
The suspect, Raymond McKenney, Sr (55) of Brooklawn was charged with Attempted Murder and Assault by Auto. He was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshall’s on Friday May 8th near Sea Isle City. He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility in lieu of $750,000 bail.
