Large Turnout for the Ninth Annual Ross-Kupcha Road Race

NATIONAL PARK NJ–The Ninth Annual Ross-Kupcha Road Race was held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 in National Park, NJ. Registrants participated in the annual race on a cool, crisp October morning.

Bishop Dennis Sullivan, (above) of the Diocese of Camden, blessed the field of runners (photo below)as they began the race in front of\"\" the National Park Fire Hall.

Awards were given to first overall Male and Female and by Age Group; the Dave Williams award is given to the first GCHS finishers, with other awards including the Browning Ross Style Prizes.

The overall winner was GC cross country star Travis Finley, who clocked a time of 23:08.19. He was followed by GC cross country teammate Sean Ward (second place) and GC coach Kate Ormsby (third).

The race is named in honor of Browning Ross, two-time Olympian from Woodbury and long-time track and cross-country coach at Gloucester Catholic, and Bob Kupcha, one of Browning’s track athletes at Gloucester Catholic. Another award within the race is named after Dave Williams, a 1937 GCHS graduate who went on to become one of the best runners on the East Coast before becoming a World War 2 hero,

Ann M. Domanick (nee Watson), on October 26, 2015, of Gloucester City; formerly of Bellmawr. Age 56.

Beloved wife of Andrew. Devoted mother of John Bigwood (Jennifer), Tamara Bigwood, Laura Vinson, Kenny Vinson, and the late Jacqueline Bigwood. Loving grandmother of nine. Dear sister of Patrick Watson and the late Thomas and Michael. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation from 8:45 to 9:45am Tuesday, November 2nd, at St. Joachim Parish, Annunciation BVM Church, 601 W. Browning Road, Bellmawr. Funeral Mass 10am at the Church. Inurnment at New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for costs associated with the funeral.

Kathryn G. \”Cass\” Falkenstein (nee Georgianna), of Bellmawr, passed peacefully at home with her family surrounding her on October 26, 2015. Age 79.

Beloved wife and best friend of 47 years of William. Devoted mother of Kristina Gustavsen (Douglas). Loving grandmother of Nickolas and Francesca. Dear sister of Isabelle Bechtel, Mary Knighton and Samuel Georgianna (Earlene). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Special thanks to Compassionate Care Hospice.

Mrs. Falkenstein was a member of the J & R Young at Heart Club.

There will be a viewing from 7 to 9pm Thursday eve and 8:15 to 9:15am Friday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Funeral Mass 10am Friday at St. Joachim Parish, Annunciation BVM Church, Bellmawr.

Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

Hudson County Neurologist Charged With Illegally Using a Runner to Recruit Patients and

Inflating Resulting Insurance Claims\"\"

TRENTON – Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman and the Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor (OIFP) announced that a Hudson County neurologist was arrested today for allegedly paying a \”runner\” to bring him patients and then falsifying the nature of the treatment provided to those patients on claims to the insurance company.

The arrest of Dr. Dan Dumitru, 44, comes one day after a state grand jury charged him with two counts of health care claims fraud (second degree), two counts of criminal use of runners (third degree), two counts of falsification of medical records (fourth degree), and one count each of conspiracy to use a runner (third degree) in an alleged scam exposed by undercover OIFP detectives.

Gloucester Catholic to Host Junior High Dance on October 30th!

GLOUCESTER CITY NJ–Gloucester Catholic Junior Senior High will be hosting a Dance for all current Junior High \"\"students and any prospective middle school students in grades 6-8. The dance will take place on Friday, October 30th from 7 pm-9 pm in the cafeteria, Cumberland and Sussex Streets.
