Philly Police Investigating Shooting and a Stabbing

At approximately 8:16 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire on the highway along the 2700 block of South 68th Street. Upon arrival, police located multiple victims. Two of the injured males were immediately transported by responding officers to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. A third male was treated at the scene by Medic personnel but refused further medical transport. A fourth victim arrived at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) Pavilion via a private vehicle.

The shooting scene is currently being held for processing. No arrests have been made, and no motive has been established at this time. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

CCPD To Host “Open Gym and Swim” Event

Today, the Camden County Police Department will help children and families beat the summer heat with “Open Gym and Swim” at the Boys and Girls Club of Camden County – Marjorie & Lewis Katz Clubhouse in the Parkside neighborhood from 3- 5:30 p.m. Officers from the Community Outreach Unit will be in attendance to join residents as they swim, play, and enjoy free refreshments, music, and more. This event is the newest addition to the CCPD’s popular Village Initiative event lineup and will take place each Wednesday throughout the remainder of summer.

“As summer temperatures continue to soar, it’s important to us that we offer activities that will keep our residents cool,” said Chief Gabriel Rodriguez. “The Village Initiative has helped thousands of our young people and their families connect with our officers, and we look forward to continuing to expand with new activities every year.”

Stabbing Investigation

At approximately 7:48 p.m., officers responded to a call on the 4200 block of North 15th Street, where they located the juvenile male suffering from a stab wound to the head. Medic rushed the 14 year old victim to St. Christopher’s Hospital in stable condition.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and a motive for the attack has not yet been established. The investigation is ongoing with Northwest Detectives.

The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating two separate overnight incidents involving a fatal mass shooting in the 2nd District and a critical multi-vehicle crash involving a dirt bike in the 24th District. MISSING JUVENILE: Quinn Hudson

The Camden County Police Department is looking for a missing 15-year-old from East Camden.

Quinn Hudson has been reported missing from his home on the 2000 block of Westminster Avenue. He is described as a black male, 5’7”, 110 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair and a tattoo of “Latisha” on his right arm. He was last seen wearing a beige shirt, beige shorts and black shoes. He is known to frequent North Camden and East Camden.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the CCPD tip line at (856) 757-7042.

Camden County Office of Emergency Management Issues “Code Red” Heat Advisory

The Camden County Office of Emergency Management declared that that Camden County will be under a Code Red Advisory for the following dates and times due to projected dangerously high temperatures by the National Weather Service:

Wednesday, July 15, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Projected Temperature 100°
Thursday, July 16, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. – Projected Temperature 97°

A Code Red Advisory is issued when the National Weather Service forecasts temperatures of 95°F or higher for at least two consecutive days, or a single-day temperature of 100°F or above.

Additionally, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued a code orange air quality alert for our region on Tuesday, July 14, and Wednesday, July 15, meaning that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups, including children and seniors.

In accordance with state law, Camden County is activating their Code Red Response Plan to provide shelter and support for vulnerable populations during these periods of extreme heat. Based on that, cooling centers are being activated throughout the county to ensure anyone in need of respite can find it.

The FBI and LinkedIn recently joined forces to teach the public about employment scams disguised as legitimate opportunities.

Employment fraud is generally defined as a scheme to deceive someone into believing they have been, or could soon be, hired for a job.

“Job seekers are uniquely vulnerable—not because they lack judgement but because they’re operating in an environment where urgency and opportunity are constant,” said Rebecca L. Keithley, assistant section chief of the Financial Crimes Section in the FBI’s Criminal Division. “The goal isn’t just to respond after someone becomes a victim but to help people recognize the warning signs early enough to avoid the scam entirely.”

Lundy’s Prison Sentence Postponed, The Reason Unknown

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (July 14, 2026)-The former doctor office of Edward Lundy has been placed on the market. Lundy pleaded guilty in April to illegal distribution of opioids. After the court proceedings, law enforcement announced that he would be sentenced in May.

Clearys’ Notebook has contacted the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), trying to find out why Lundy’s sentence has been postponed. Our most recent contact with those departments was last week. Neither the AG’s office nor the FBI has returned our phone calls or answered our emails.

Monroe Township Man Pleads Guilty

William I. McCray, 26, of Monroe Township, who was charged with 26 counts including sexual assault and manufacturing child sexual abuse material against multiple minor victims, pled guilty to five of those charges today before the honorable Renard L. Scott, Prosecutor Andrew B. Johns announced.

According to documents filed in this case and statements made in open court: In October 2025 a minor victim reported to police that McCray had sexually assaulted them. A search warrant was subsequently obtained and executed on McCray’s residence where CDS, drug paraphernalia, and multiple cellular phones were found.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit assisted the Monroe Township Police Department in a forensic analysis of the electronic devices, where they found more than 100 images and 40 video files containing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

A second victim was identified in the files and subsequently interviewed, disclosing they had also been assaulted by McCray.

Additional victims were also identified in the photos, videos, and chat messages. McCray was arrested at his residence on Dec. 3, 2025.
