Camden County Roadwork

 Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of August 17 to August 21. 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

Audubon

Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a lane closure between West Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.

Barrington

  • Crews will be working on Copley Road from Monday, August 17, to Thursday, August 20, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure westbound between Warwick Road & Mercer Drive.
  • Crews will be working on Third Avenue from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Kingston Avenue in Barrington and West High Street in Haddon Heights.

Camden

  • Crews will be working on Market Street from Monday, August 17, to Tuesday, August 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be parking lane closure between North 5th Street & North 6th Street.
  • Crews will be working on River Avenue from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Federal Street & East State Street.
  • Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be lane closures between Kaighn Avenue & Chestnut Street and between Pine Street & Walnut Street.
  • Crews will be working on State Street from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between North 8th Street and North 10th Street.
  • PSE&G will be working on Broadway and Collings Avenue from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Broadway between Kaighn Avenue & Everett Street. There will be a partial road closure westbound on Collings Avenue between North Chesapeake Road & Black Horse Pike. 
  • Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. There will be partial road closure northbound between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard & Cooper Plaza.
  • Crews will be working on Newton Avenue from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be full road closure between Chestnut Street & South 6th Street.
  • Crews will be working on Newton Avenue on Tuesday, August 18, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure westbound between South 10th Street & South 11th Street.
  • Crews will be working on River Avenue from Wednesday, August 19, to Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a lane shift between East State Street & Conrail Tracks.
  • Crews will be working on Ferry Avenue on Thursday August 20 and Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Salem Street & Mulford Street.
  • Crews will be working on Kaighn Avenue on Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure westbound between Mt. Ephraim Avenue & Louis Street.
  • Crews will be working on Broadway on Friday, August 21, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be a lane shift between Jasper Street & Emerald Street.

Cherry Hill

  • Crews will be working on Kresson Road from Monday, August 17, to Thursday, August 20, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a combination of lane shifts, lane closures, and alternating traffic with flaggers between Willowdale Drive & Marlkress Road.
  • Crews will be working on Kresson Road from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be there will be a partial road closure westbound between Cropwell Road & Springdale Road.
  • Crews will be working on Kenilworth Avenue from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be full road closure between Edward Avenue & Chapel Avenue.

Collingswood

Crews will be working on Park Avenue from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Park Avenue between Collings Avenue & West Zane Avenue.

Gibbsboro

Crews will be working on United States Avenue & Foster Avenue from Monday, August 17, to Thursday, August 20, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure of United States Avenue between Lakeview Drive South & Berlin Road.  There will be a full road closure of Foster Avenue between United States Avenue & Clementon Road.

Haddon Heights

  • Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a lane closure between West Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.

Crews will be working on Laurel Road from Monday, August 17, to Thursday, August 20, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be partial road closure southbound between Chews Landing Road & Blackwood-Clementon Road.

Winslow Township

Crews will be working on Sicklerville Road from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure 24/7 between Andrews Road & Erial Road.

Woodlynne

Crews will be working on Ferry Avenue from Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Mt. Ephraim Avenue & Cedar Avenue.

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting, and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
