Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of August 3 to August 7.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Audubon
Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between West Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.
Barrington
PSE&G will be working on Third Avenue on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Kingston Avenue in Barrington and West High Street in Haddon Heights.
Camden
· PSE&G will be working on 3060 Federal Street on Monday, August 3, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a lane shift between South Dudley Street and South 31st Street.
· Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be lane closures between Federal Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
· Crews will be working on State Street on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between North 8th Street and North 10th Street.
· Crews will be working on Newton Avenue on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There be full road closure between Chestnut Street and the Kaighn Avenue/South 4th Street intersection.
· PSE&G will be working on Broadway and Collings Avenue on Tuesday, August 4, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Broadway between Atlantic Avenue and Mt. Vernon Street.
· Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. There will be a partial northbound road closure between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Cooper Plaza.
Cherry Hill
· Crews will be working on Kenilworth Avenue on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Route 38 and Helena Avenue.
· Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, August 3, to Thursday, August 6, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a combination of lane shifts, lane closures, and alternating traffic between Heartwood Drive and Middle Acre Lane.
· Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial westbound road closure between Cropwell Road and Cooper Run Drive.
Collingswood
Crews will be working on Park Avenue on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure and sidewalk closures between Dill Avenue and Ogden Avenue.
Gloucester Township
Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between Schubert Avenue and Black Horse Pike.
Haddon Heights

On Tuesday, there will be a full road closure of North Haddon Avenue between East Euclid Avenue and Windsor Avenue. On Wednesday, there will be a full road closure of North Haddon Avenue between East Euclid Avenue and Kings Highway East. On Thursday, there will be a full road closure of East Euclid Avenue at the intersection with Tanner Street.
Oaklyn
· PSE&G will be working on Kendall Boulevard on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Washington Avenue and Congress Avenue.
· PSE&G will be working on Newton Avenue on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between West Clinton Avenue and West Oakland Avenue.
· PSE&G will be working on Manor Avenue on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between West Oakland Avenue and the VFW (dead end).
Somerdale
Crews will be working on 715 Evesham Road and 524 East Atlantic Avenue on Monday, August 3, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Evesham Road between South Charleston Avenue and Ebert Avenue. There will also be a full road closure of East Atlantic Avenue between West Evergreen Avenue and Park Avenue.
Winslow Township
· Crews will be working on Sicklerville Road on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a 24/7 full road closure between Andrews Road and Erial Road.
· Crews will be working on Mays Landing Road on Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial northbound road closure between Old Albertson Road and the Atlantic County Line.
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
