Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of September 14 to September 18.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Audubon
- Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Monday, September 14 to Thursday, September 17 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a lane closure between West Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.
- Crews will be working on West Nicholson Road from Tuesday, September 15 to Wednesday, September 16 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be lane closures at the intersection with Road B.
Barrington
Crews will be working on Third Avenue from Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 18 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Kingston Avenue and Clements Bridge Road.
Camden
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 15 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be southbound lane restrictions and parking restrictions between Federal Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
- American Water will be working on State Street from Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 18 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between North 8th Street and North 10th Street.
- PSE&G will be working on Broadway from Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 18 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Walnut Street and Mt. Vernon Street.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 18 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be lane closures between Pine Street and Mt. Vernon Street and at the intersections with Walnut Street, Newton Avenue and Chestnut Street.
- Crews will be working on River Avenue from Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 18 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between East State Street and Federal Street.
- PSE&G will be working on Collings Road and Broadway from Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 18 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure on Collings Road between Kearsarge Road and South Congress Road on Monday and Tuesday, and a full road closure on Broadway between Atlantic Avenue and Jefferson Street from Tuesday through Friday.
- Crews will be working on Federal Street from Wednesday, September 16 to Friday, September 18 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a lane closure and parking restrictions at the intersection with Broadway.
Cherry Hill
- Crews will be working on Kenilworth Avenue from Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 18 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Route 38 and Chapel Avenue.
- Crews will be working on Kresson Road from Monday, September 14 through Thursday, September 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. There will be a partial westbound road closure between Temple Beth Sholom and Springdale Road. Paving operations on Thursday night will be delayed until 8:00 p.m. to allow traffic into Cherry Hill East’s back-to-school night.
Gloucester Township
Crews will be working on Evesham Road from Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 18 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be an eastbound partial road closure between Station Avenue and Price Avenue.
Haddonfield
PSE&G will be working on North Haddon Avenue, South Haddon Avenue and Ellis Street from Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 18 from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. There will be a full road closure between East Euclid Avenue on North Haddon Avenue and Ellis Street on South Haddon Avenue, as well as a full road closure of Ellis Street between Lincoln Avenue and Kresson Road.
Lindenwold
South Jersey Gas will be working on Laurel Road from Monday, September 14 to Thursday, September 17 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a partial southbound road closure between Chews Landing Road and Blackwood-Clementon Road.
Oaklyn
PSE&G will be working on Newton Avenue on Thursday, September 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial southbound road closure between West Clinton Avenue and West Oakland Avenue.
Pine Hill
- Crews will be working on Berlin Cross Keys Road from Monday, September 14 to Wednesday, September 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial southbound road closure between Watsontown-New Freedom Road and Kearsley in Winslow Township. The detour route will run through Winslow Township and Pine Hill.
- Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue from Monday, September 14 to Friday, September 18 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Blackwood-Clementon Road and Erial Road.
Winslow Township

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting, and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
