Camden County Roadwork Projects

Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of August 31 to September 4

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

Berlin Borough

Crews will be working on 136 New Freedom Rd on Wednesday, September 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Street closure traffic will be detoured between Aristone Drive and Evanine Drive.

Camden

  • Crews will be working on Broadway and Collings Road on Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Monday, there will be a full road closure between South Chesapeake Road and Black Horse Pike. From Monday to Wednesday, there will be a full road closure of Broadway between Atlantic Avenue and Jefferson Street. From Monday to Friday, there will be a full eastbound closure of Collings Road between South Chesapeake Road and Black Horse Pike. 
  • Crews will be working on River Avenue on Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between East State Street and Federal Street.
  • Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be lane closures between Pine Street and Walnut Street. There will also be lane closures between Kaighn Avenue and Mt. Vernon Street.
  • Crews will be working on River Ave and Federal Street on Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a detour between State Street and Federal Street
  • Crews will be working on Federal Street at Broadway on Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be lane closures and parking restrictions.

Cherry Hill

  • New Jersey American Water will be working on Cropwell Road on Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. There will be a full road closure between Marlowe Road and Kresson Road.
  • Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, August 31, and Tuesday, September 1, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. And also on Wednesday, September 2, and Thursday, September 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be lane shifts, lane closures, and alternating traffic between Heartwood Drive and Marlkress Road.
  • Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, August 31, and Tuesday, September 1, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a one-way detour of the westbound traffic between Cropwell Road and Springdale Road.
  • Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Wednesday, September 2, to Friday, September 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be lane shifts between Springdale Road and Ravenswood Way and traffic signal improvements at the intersections with Springdale Road and Oakley Drive.

Collingswood

PSE&G will be working on Bettlewood Avenue on Monday, August 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be road closure with a detour between Oaklawn Avenue in Oaklyn and Merrick Avenue in Collingswood.

Oaklyn

Pine Hill

Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue on Monday, August 31, to Friday, September 4, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a one-way detour, and a road closure between  Blackwood Clement Road and Erial Road.

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting, and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
