
Winslow Township, NJ – A Sicklerville man has been arrested and charged for a shooting that occurred inside a Wawa in Winslow Township on Sunday night, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Winslow Township Police Chief Donald Lemons.
Marcus L. Norman, 20, is charged with first-degree Attempted Murder, second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
On Sunday, October 4, 2026, at approximately 9:07 p.m., Winslow Township police responded to a Wawa located on the 400 block of Sicklerville Road for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, police found Norman suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital for treatment. Police were subsequently notified that another 20-year-old man walked into Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township with a gunshot wound and was later transported to Cooper University Hospital.
Through the investigation, detectives obtained surveillance video footage that showed Norman and the victim engaged in a dispute inside the store that turned into a physical altercation after Norman threw the first punch. During the incident, the video showed Norman pulling out a firearm and shooting the victim. Norman also sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his left hand. A handgun was later recovered at the scene.
Norman was taken into custody in Sicklerville this morning by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division and Winslow Township Police Department. He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility, pending a detention hearing in Superior Court.
