The Camden County Board of Commissioners is alerting residents and business owners of an ongoing investigation into fraudulent invoices sent via email by individuals posing as members of the Camden County Planning Board, Director of Public Works, and Director of Planning. In these emails, the individuals involved in the scam are attempting to solicit funds through wire transfer by directing recipients to send payment to illegitimate accounts.
The Camden County Planning Board, as well as all municipal Planning Boards, will NOT randomly solicit funds through email.
If you receive one of these emails, please DO NOT CLICK on the provided links, call the provided phone number, or email the provided email address on that email. Simply DELETE the email, and if you wish to verify that the Camden County Planning Board or Public Works or Director of Planning are attempting to contact you, call them directly at 856-757-7214.
