Prost! Yards Brewing Company announces their annual Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, September 26th at the taproom at 500 Spring Garden. The Northern Liberties brewer will transform Yards’ expansive outdoor loading dock, along with portions of the brewery and warehouse into a Bavarian inspired beer hall for the afternoon. Head to an area normally off limits to the public as Yards goes German for the day with Bavarian food, drink, music, decorations games and more. The celebration runs from 12 Noon to 4:00pm and includes stein-holding contests, costume contest, special German food menu items – and the return of Yards famous Unter Dog Oktoberfest Lager. Guests can expect live music, Oktoberfest food, games and plenty of Bavarian cheer. The event will also feature Masskrugstemmen, the traditional German stein-holding competition, as well as a costume contest with a prize for the guest sporting the best dirndl, lederhosen or other Oktoberfest attire. Every paid admission includes an exclusive Yards Oktoberfest 0.5-liter stein. Early Bird and General Admission tickets also include one beer fill of the guest’s choice.
Naturally, beer will be at the center of the celebration. The tap list will include Unter Dog Oktoberfest Lager, Yards’ returning fall seasonal that is also available wherever Yards beer is sold. Festival-goers will also have the chance to try Schnitzengiggles, quite simply ‘the greatest beer in all ze world’, along with a Festbier and Hefeweizen brewed for the occasion.

Yards Brewing Company is gearing up for Eagles season with a full slate of game-day specials, entertainment and events designed to make the brewery one of Philadelphia’s top destinations to watch the Birds this fall. Yards’ large, open taproom at 500 Spring Garden Street offers plenty of room for Philly fans to come together on game day, with Eagles games shown throughout the taproom and sound on for every game. DJ Maxx will keep the energy going during commercial breaks, spinning music throughout each game day.
Yards will also roll out a special lineup of game-day food and drinks throughout the season. Trash Talk IPA, Yards’ 6.5% IPA brewed for Philly sports fans, will be available for $6 during Eagles games.
The kitchen will offer a Wing Flight, a game-day take on a traditional beer flight featuring four wing flavors: Buffalo, Honey Chipotle, Green Long Hot and Teriyaki. The Wing Flight arrives alongside a revamped Yards food menu for the fall and winter season, with new and updated offerings for fans to dig into on game day and beyond.
Behind the bar, fans can cool off with the Philly Phreeze, a bright green frozen cocktail inspired by a frozen lime margarita. Bird Juice, Yards’ green seltzer, will also make its return on draft for football season.
The game-day experience will extend beyond food and beer. Yards plans to host a rotating series of vintage sports pop-up shops throughout the season, with participating vendors and dates to be announced.
Fans may also spot a familiar furry face around the brewery. Cooper the Raccoon, mascot of Trash Talk IPA, will make surprise appearances at select games throughout the season. Cooper will mingle with fans and conduct his own brand of game-day fan interviews, with highlights shared across Yards’ social media channels.
With a packed taproom of Philadelphia fans, game sound on, music, beer and food specials, pop-ups and plenty of surprises throughout the season, Yards is positioning its Spring Garden brewery as a home base for Eagles fans all season long.
