 New Jersey passed major new e-bike laws, signed by Governor Phil Murphy on January 19, 2026, his last full day in office. These changes represent the first overhaul of e-bike regulations in six years and are considered among the strictest in the United States. These laws will go into effect in July 2026.

Al-Jo’s Curve Closed and Detoured

The I-295 southbound ramp to Route 42 southbound and I-295 southbound, also known as Al-Jo’s Curve, is scheduled to be closed and detoured tonight and tomorrow night as the Direct Connection project advances in Bellmawr, Camden County. In addition, overnight lane and ramp closures are scheduled on Route 42 northbound, I-295 northbound and I-76 eastbound tonight and tomorrow night. The lane and ramp closures, as well as traffic slowdowns, are necessary to install structural steel and construct a retaining wall.

Camden County Roadwork Projects

Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of June 15 to June 20. 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

Audubon

Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Monday, June 15, to Friday, June 19, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between East Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.

Berlin Borough

Crews will be working on North Park Drive on Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Watsontown Road & Orchard Drive.

Police Information – Fraudulent Invoice & Email Scam Alert
Winslow Township is alerting residents to an ongoing scam involving fraudulent invoices and emails that reference the Township Planning Board, Zoning Board, and Township agendas.

The Winslow Township Planning and Zoning Office have received reports of emails being sent to residents that appear to come from the Winslow Township Zoning Office. These fraudulent emails include attached invoices requesting payment by wire transfer. The messages also state that all correspondence must be conducted by email only and instruct recipients to reply to the email for wire transfer instructions.

UPDATE Ramps to I-676 from Holtec Boulevard eastbound to be closed and detoured

The I-676 southbound ramp from Holtec Boulevard eastbound is scheduled to be closed and detoured tonight as a bridge replacement and paving project advances in Camden and Gloucester City, Camden County. In addition, the I-676 northbound ramp from Holtec Boulevard eastbound, which was scheduled to be closed and detoured tonight, has been postponed.

Beginning at 11 p.m. tonight, Thursday, June 11 until 5 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, June 12, the Holtec Boulevard eastbound ramp to I-676 southbound is scheduled to be closed. The closure is necessary for drainage improvements. The following detour will be in place:

Mosquito Spraying Throughout Camden County

 Early Friday morning, the Mosquito Control Commission will be in the community spraying and surveilling areas throughout Camden County.

“It’s important for residents to be cognizant of any standing water on their property,” said Commissioner Jeffrey Nash, liaison to the Camden County Mosquito Commission. “Mosquitos need standing water to breed, so you can help keep them off your property by removing water from places like flowerpots and containers. Being proactive has a major impact on the mosquito population and helps the hardworking people at the Camden County Mosquito Control Commission in their efforts.”

Camden County Mosquito Commission will be conducting ULV “spraying” operations on Friday, June 12, 2026, between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. in the following locations, weather permitting:

Residential video captured a silver SUV, possibly a Dodge Journey, traveling eastbound from the dead end section of Highland Avenue toward Williamstown Road when it sideswiped the passenger’s side of a white SUV that was parked at the intersection of Morgan Street at approximately 5:10 PM. The suspect vehicle, which appears to have black wheels, could be heard on vehicle revving the engine shortly after the collision as it fled the area.
