Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of September 8 to September 11.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Audubon
Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a lane closure between West Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.
Barrington
Crews will be working on Third Avenue from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Albany Avenue and Trenton Avenue.
Camden
- Crews will be working on Federal Street on Tuesday, September 8 and Wednesday, September 9 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a lane closure and parking restrictions at the intersection with Broadway.
- Crews will be working on State Street from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between North 8th Street and North 10th Street.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a lane shift between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Cooper Plaza.
- Crews will be working on Newton Avenue and Broadway from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure on Newton Avenue between South 5th Street and South 6th Street and a lane shift on Broadway between Walnut Street and Mt. Vernon Street.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be lane closures between Pine Street and Mt. Vernon Street, at the intersections with Walnut Street, Newton Avenue and Chestnut Street, and between Mt. Vernon Street and Kaighn Avenue.
- PSE&G will be working on Ferry Avenue and Collings Road from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure on Ferry Avenue between Broadway and Carl Miller Boulevard and a full closure of Collings Road between Colorado Road and New Jersey Road.
- Crews will be working on River Avenue from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between East State Street and Federal Street.
- Crews will be working on Federal Street on Wednesday, September 9 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a lane shift between North 35th Street and South 36th Street.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be southbound lane restrictions and parking restrictions between Federal Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Cherry Hill
- Crews will be working on Kenilworth Avenue from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Jerome Avenue and Chapel Avenue.
- Crews will be working on Cropwell Road from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. There will be a full road closure between Marlowe Road and Kresson Road.
- Crews will be working on Kresson Road from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a partial westbound road closure between Imperial Drive and Springdale Road.
Haddonfield
- PSE&G will be working on North Hinchman Avenue on Tuesday, September 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between Homestead Avenue and West Euclid Avenue.
- PSE&G will be working on North and South Haddon Avenue from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. There will be a full road closure between East Euclid Avenue on North Haddon Avenue and Ellis Street on South Haddon Avenue.
Lindenwold
South Jersey Gas will be working on Laurel Road from Tuesday, September 8 to Thursday, September 10 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a partial southbound road closure between Chews Landing Road and Blackwood-Clementon Road.
Pine Hill
Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue from Tuesday, September 8 to Friday, September 11 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Blackwood-Clementon Road and Erial Road.
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting, and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
