Teenager Hospitalized in Critical Condition Following Hit-and-Run Crash

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division is investigating a hit-and-run collision that left a teenager in critical condition on Monday afternoon in the city’s 2nd District.

On May 18, 2026, at approximately 2:59 p.m., police responded to a report of an auto-versus-pedestrian crash near the intersection of Cottman Avenue and Horrocks Street. A preliminary investigation revealed that a silver 2011 Jeep Liberty was traveling on Cottman Avenue when it struck a 16-year-old male pedestrian who was crossing at Horrocks Street.

West Deptford Woman Charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material

Woodbury, NJ – Alba A. Batistini, 28, of West Deptford, was arrested and charged  with one count of third-degree possession of child sexual abuse material today,  Prosecutor Andrew B. Johns announced.  

According to documents filed in this case: 

The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office received tips from the National Center  for Missing and Exploited Children about an individual uploading child sexual  abuse material (CSAM). An investigation led to the execution of a search warrant  at Batistini’s residence where electronics were seized. Forensic analysis found  78 images and four videos of CSAM on these devices and an additional two CSAM videos within a cloud-based storage program.

Wanted: Suspect for Robbery in the 15th District [REWARD]

NEDD is attempting to identify the suspect pictured above in reference to a robbery which occurred on February 5, 2026 at approximately 5:28am. The victim was waiting for the bus on the 6900 block of Torresdale Ave when an unknown black male approached her. The offender pulled the strap of her purse causing the complainant to fall to the ground and then dragged her for a short distance. The offender fled on foot on the 4600 block of Disston St. Taken was the victim’s blue purse containing cash, Samsung Galaxy 9 cell, keys, and ID.

Man Arrested for Middle Township Shooting

Middle Township, New Jersey — Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland, and Chief Tracey Super of the Middle Township Police Department announce that on May 15, 2026, at approximately 12:56 p.m., officers from the Middle Township Police Department responded to the Simpson Motel, located in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township, New Jersey, for the report of an individual suffering from a gunshot injury. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 25-year-old male suffering from a gunshot injury to the face. The victim was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Atlantic City Campus, Atlantic City, New Jersey for treatment of his injuries.

Maple Shade Police Request The Public’s Assistance

The Maple Shade Police are requesting the public’s assistance with obtaining any available home video surveillance that may show actor(s) or vehicles involved in the recent rash of vehicle burglaries.  Reported incidents occurred in the area of the Maple Shade High School and Alden Park (overnight – Thursday, 5/14 into Friday, 5/15).  Residents are asked to forward any video clips they may have to tips@mapleshadepd.com.  Please include any information you may have, along with your name, address and contact information.  If you have video, but are unable to upload it to an email, please send your contact information and we will follow-up with you.  Thank you for any assistance your are able to provide!

West Deptford Man Arrested for Attempting to Lure Underage Girl

A Gloucester County man has been arrested and charged for attempting to meet with an underage girl to engage in sexual conduct after chatting online, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay.
John Remsing, 46, of West Deptford, is charged with 2nd -degree Attempting to Lure a Child, 2nd -degree Attempted Sexual Assault, 2nd -degree Attempted Prostitution with a Minor, and 3rd -degree Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Additionally, he was charged with one count of Engaging in Prostitution (a disorderly person’s offense). Remsing had been communicating online with a person whom he believed was a 14-year-old girl. The person actually chatting with him was an undercover detective from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit. During the conversation, Remsing arranged a meeting in Haddon Township for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity with the girl.
On May 12, 2026, Remsing was taken into custody at the meeting location by members of the Haddon Township Police Department and Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.

Male Wanted for Indecent Assault

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit is requesting the public’s help to identify and locate a male suspect involved in an indecent assault within the 26th District. 

The incident occurred on May 13, 2026, at approximately 12:45 p.m. on the 2600 block of Collins Street. According to the complainant, she was walking when the offender approached her from behind, aggressively grabbed her, and then fled on foot, traveling southbound toward Huntingdon Street.

The suspect is described as a Black male, estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old with a medium build. At the time of the assault, he was dressed in all-black clothing, including a black coat featuring a fur-lined hood, and was seen carrying a crossbody bag. 

Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the individual depicted in the attached photos is urged to contact the Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3250/51 or dial 911.

Two Suspects Arrested Following Armed Carjacking

Two individuals are in custody after an armed carjacking late Monday night led to a police pursuit and a vehicle collision in Northeast Philadelphia. The incident began on May 11, 2026, at approximately 10:48 p.m., when Philadelphia police officers responded to a report of a carjacking on the 2100 block of Longshore Avenue. Investigators determined that two masked suspects approached a 32-year-old woman and a 37-year-old woman, brandishing a handgun and a knife. The offenders threatened the victims with the weapons before seizing their keys and fleeing the scene in the victims’ 2012 Jeep Cherokee.
