Officer-Involved Shooting

The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at approximately 4:11 AM in the 25th Police District.

Officers were dispatched to the area of 9XX W. Erie Avenue for a report of a person with a gun. Upon arrival, officers encountered a 35-year-old Hispanic female holding a firearm to the right side of her head.

Officers issued multiple verbal commands ordering her to drop the weapon. The female did not comply to these commands. One officer deployed a Taser, which struck the female but had no effect. The female then fled across Erie Avenue, at which time she pointed the firearm in the direction of the officers.

In response, Officer #1 and Officer #2 discharged their duty weapons, striking the female multiple times. She fell to the ground and dropped her firearm. Officers transported her to Temple University Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

A firearm was recovered at the scene – a .22 caliber Kel-Tec handgun with an obliterated serial number, loaded with one round in the chamber and nineteen rounds in the magazine.

The female is currently charged with Aggravated Assault on Police and Violations of the Uniform Firearms Act (VUFA).

No officers or other civilians were injured.

Body-Worn Cameras were activated for the duration of the encounter.

This investigation remains in its preliminary stages and is under review by the PPD’s Officer Involved Shooting Investigation Unit (OISI), PPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau (IAB), and by the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office (DAO).

Per Departmental policy, the discharging officers have been placed on administrative duty pending the outcome of the investigation.

Philadelphia Police Report Overnight Incident

At approximately 2:00 am, a shooting occurred in the 9th District in the area of the 8XX block of Spring Garden Street. A 24-year-old male was struck in the upper arm area while on the highway. He was transported to Nazareth Hospital by private vehicle at 7:19 a.m., where he was listed in stable condition. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation by the Shooting Investigation Group.

Just three months ago, after this same monster was arrested for another violent crime, a county judge cut him loose on electronic monitoring — a condition he repeatedly violated with zero consequences right up to the day he lit an innocent woman on fire.

ICE and state of Florida arrest 230 criminal alien sexual predators, violent criminals in 10-day operation

Federal-state partnership removes dangerous illegal aliens from communities, preventing future crimes

MIAMI — ICE, in collaboration with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, launched on Oct. 25 Operation Criminal Return, a statewide initiative targeting convicted sexual predators and offenders who pose significant threats to public safety.

During the 10-day operation, ICE and 287(g) partner FDLE arrested 230 criminal illegal aliens who are registered sex offenders and have egregious criminal histories. GLOUCESTER CITY NJ (November 29, 2025)(CNBNews)–On Tuesday, November 26, we spoke with a resident of Gloucester City living on the 600 block of Division Street regarding the condition of his yard. In our opinion, it resembles a junkyard. He informed us that once he finishes remodeling the interior of his home, he will relocate the items he is currently storing in his side yard back inside. When we asked to see what he had been remodeling inside his house, he refused. He said he would file a lawsuit against CNBNews if any article or photo were published about him. This individual is a disabled Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. One person familiar with the situation suggested that his status as a disabled veteran is the reason he has been allowed to ignore the city’s housing regulations.

William Crothers, 44, Florida Sheriff Officer; Former Broooklawn Police Officer

Cape Coral, Florida (March 10, 2020)–William Joseph Crothers, 44, a resident of Cape Coral for the past 3 years, formerly of Mickleton, NJ, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020 in Cape Coral. He was born on September 12, 1975 in Woodbury, NJ.

William was of the Catholic faith. He was a bull in a china shop with a golden heart. His big, burly stature could not mask the teddy bear inside of him. His thunderous voice was heard by everyone, and no one could depict if they were being welcomed or scolded. When William was not working, you could find him at the Matlacha Bridge with a rod in his hands. While fishing, he enjoyed snapping photos of the beautiful scenery, and sending it to the relatives saying, “I live where you vacation.”

He loved to spend time with his family and friends and would do anything possible to ensure that they were safe. Not only a father of his two children, he served as a public parent within the baseball community. Whenever another kid needed guidance he was there to listen and suggest a proper path. Within his early stages in high school, William knew that his career path was to follow his father’s footsteps and become a police force. At the ripe age of seventeen, he actively pursued his dream of becoming a member of law enforcement and took his first police exam. In 1996, he successfully achieved his goal of becoming a member of the Brooklawn Police Department. He quickly amassed the respect and friendship of a large number of local officers. In 2001, he transferred to East Greenwich Police Department, and had the opportunity to increase his professional opportunities, and he became head of traffic investigation and firearms instructor. He quickly rose to a Patrol Sergeant in July of 2013.

His knowledge of police procedures and the law was widely recognized, and it was not uncommon for officers of various ranks to ask for his guidance. After retiring from the force in 2017, he moved to Cape Coral, Florida. He spent his time as a beach patrol officer. He soon realized that he missed police work, and he joined the Lee County Sheriff’s Office in February 2019. Other officers quickly recognized his capabilities and was accepted into their brotherhood. Bill seemed to amass friends wherever he went. People recognized Bill for three things: An outstanding family man, An outstanding officer, and a terrible fisherman.

He is survived by his two loving children, Alexander Crothers and Austin Crothers, both of Cape Coral; parents, Bill and Donna Crothers of Deptford, NJ; one brother, Jeffrey Crothers (Alicia) of Mr. Ephraim, NJ; one sister, Dana Like (Brandon) of San Diego, CA; former wife, Kimberly Crothers of Cape Coral; five nieces and nephews, Gabriel, Ava, Amelia, Aurora and R.J; predeceased by his grandparents John Gogolin, Lillie Gogolin, Harry Crothers; Uncle Jack Gogolin, and survived by his Aunt Dot Gogolin; cousins Scott, Dawn, and Shawn; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert Watson (Robin) of Cape Coral; as well as the two huskies, Kona and Sanibel.

A time of visitation will be held 4:30 – 7:30 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Ft. Myers, FL 33916.

Cities and Towns Trying to Lure “Pot” Stores to Open in their Community

Since that time, according to the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission, there are 24 dispensaries that sell recreational cannabis in the state, along with 13 shops that sell only medical marijuana. That legalization has also seen a rush by local governments throughout the state bending over backwards to attract “Doobie Stores’ to open in their communities. For example, the City of Gloucester City passed legislation in January to amend it Land Development law in order to accommodate the marijuana industry. As such the development of the Southport area, which consist of over 100 acres of vacant land along the Delaware River will now be used to cultivate, manufacture, and distribute, marijuana. The new ordinance allows cannabis businesses to operate with Class 1, 2,3,4,5, and 6 licenses (Cultivation, Manufacturing, Wholesale, Distribution, Retail, and Delivery.

For 37 years, the City promoted an idea to develop that once-industrial site into upscale housing, a waterfront marina, and a retail district. The city spent thousands of dollars on architects, engineers, and development plans for that purpose. In 2005, the site was named “THE GLOUCESTER VISTA.” Shortly after, a new Democrat mayor, William James, and the city council were elected, announcing that the area was so toxic it would take over a decade to remove the chemicals.
