Wanted: Suspect for Assault in the 18th District

The Philadelphia Police Department needs your help:

The police are investigating an assault that occurred on April 22nd, 2026 in University City. Around 11:00 PM, a female was confronted by a male inside a store along the 4000 block of Market Street. The argument escalates and the male spits on the woman and begins punching her in the face before leaving the scene in an unknown direction. The female victim suffered several injuries.

Suspect Charged After Highway Patrol Officer Shot During North Philadelphia Traffic Stop

The Philadelphia Police Department is providing an update on the investigation into the shooting of a Highway Patrol officer that occurred Monday evening in North Philadelphia.

Authorities have identified the suspect as 26-year-old Rashid Walker. Walker has been officially charged with Violations of the Uniform Firearms Act (VUFA) following the incident in the 2400 block of North 17th Street.

The investigation began at approximately 7:40 p.m. on May 4, 2026, when Highway Patrol officers conducted a vehicle stop. As an officer performed a safety frisk of Walker, who was a passenger in the vehicle, the officer felt a handgun inside Walker’s jacket pocket. At that point, the firearm discharged, striking the officer in the upper right leg.

The wounded officer was rushed to Temple University Hospital by fellow personnel and remains in stable condition.

Walker was taken into custody at the scene, and the firearm was successfully recovered. 

The Homicide Division continues to lead the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discharge.

Overnight Crime Incidents in Philly

PHILADELPHIA (May 7, 2026)(CNBNews)--The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Wednesday night in the city’s 17th District. At approximately 10:31 p.m. on May 6, 2026, officers responded to a report of a large crowd and disturbance on the highway along the 2100 block of Wharton Street. While arriving at the scene, responding officers heard several gunshots and discovered a male victim lying on the street suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and leg.

Police immediately transported the victim to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for emergency treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at 11:00 p.m. The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Walter S. Holloway, a resident of the 2200 block of Oakford Street.

As of Thursday morning, no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered. Investigators are still working to determine a motive. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or submit an anonymous tip at 215-686-TIPS.

Public Assistance Requested: Suspects and Vehicle Sought in Fatal West Philadelphia Shooting

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle and several individuals in connection with the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Miguel Angel Quinones-Barreto. The incident occurred on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at approximately 4:51 PM in the 5200 block of Chester Avenue.

Investigators are searching for a 2006 Toyota Highlander bearing Pennsylvania license plate MVT-7446. The attached photos are of two males identified as suspects who were occupants of the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case. Members of the public with information regarding the whereabouts of the vehicle or the identities of the suspects are urged to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334. Female Fatally Shot Inside North Philadelphia Residence

Philadelphia police are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of an adult female on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency personnel responded to a residence on the 2300 block of N. Cleveland Street at approximately 1:13 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female victim inside the home suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 1:49 p.m.

Authorities have secured the residence, and the scene remains held for processing by investigators. No arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered at this time.

Police are urging anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit.

Investigation into Unusual Incident Involving Injured Child

The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating an unusual incident involving an injured child that occurred Tuesday evening in the city’s 26th District.

At approximately 6:38 p.m., officers responded to a private residence on the 2200 block of North 7th Street following reports of a fall. Preliminary investigations determined that a 4-year-old male sustained injuries after falling from a third-floor apartment window.

The child was initially transported via private vehicle to Temple University Hospital. He is currently being transferred to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where he is listed in stable condition.

The scene is currently being held for processing. The investigation remains active and is being conducted by the Special Victims Unit (SVU).

Philadelphia Police Department Incidents


At approximately 10:16 p.m. on April 25, 2026, officers from the 16th and 18th Districts, along with University of Pennsylvania Police, responded to a “person with a gun” call at 40th and Chestnut Streets. Upon arrival, they discovered a 24-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower back. He was immediately transported by police to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

According to the victim, he and two others were walking near the intersection when they observed a male offender shouting to himself. As the individual approached, he reportedly began shooting at the group without provocation, striking the victim once before fleeing the scene on foot. Shortly thereafter, University of Pennsylvania Police stopped a 43-year-old male who was identified by witnesses as the shooter. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

While a firearm was recovered at the scene, the motive for the shooting remains unknown at this time. 

The investigation is active and ongoing with the Shooting Investigation Group, and additional details will be shared as they become available.

Wanted: Suspect Naseem Sills for Homicide in the 12th District

Philadelphia Police, Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating Naseem Sills 19-years-old who is wanted for the below listed homicide.

There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in this homicide case.

Homicide by Shooting Incident:
On Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 11:30 p.m., police responded to a radio call for a person with a gun, male shot on the 19XX block of South Salford Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

  • Victim #1:  Maurice Quain who was 19-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the head.  Philadelphia Fire Department Medic Unit pronounced the victim dead at 11:43 p.m.
  • Victim #2: An 18-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg.
  • Victim #3: A 23-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to his right leg.
  • Victim #4: A 21-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to his left shoulder.
  • Victim #5: An 18-year-old male suffered a graze wound to his head.
  • Victim #6: A 15-year-old female suffered a gunshot wound to her left foot.
  • Victim #7: A 16-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to his left thigh.
  • Victim #8: A 14-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to his right thigh.
  • Victim #9: A 24-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg.

Philadelphia Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Suspect in South Lawrence Street Homicide

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 27-year-old Rahsign Richards, who is wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of Malik Green earlier this month. Richards is described as a Black male, standing 6’01” tall and weighing approximately 160 lbs. His last known address was located on the 300 block of South Broad Street.

The investigation began on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at approximately 2:28 pm, when 1st District officers responded to a radio call reporting a person with a gun at 4XX Tasker Street. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, 30-year-old Malik Green, in the 1600 block of South Lawrence Street, suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest. Police immediately transported Green to Jefferson Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead at 2:38 pm.

A post-mortem examination conducted on April 19, 2026, officially confirmed that the cause of death was stab wounds to the chest, and the manner of death has been ruled a homicide. Investigators have since identified Richards as the primary suspect in this case.

The Philadelphia Police Department urges anyone with information regarding Rahsign Richards’ whereabouts to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334/3335, submit a tip anonymously at 215-686-TIPS, or call 911 immediately if he is sighted.
