Philadelphia Police Arrest Suspect in Fatal Assault

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit has arrested and charged a suspect in connection with the fatal assault of a 45-year-old woman that occurred early Sunday morning in the city’s 22nd District.

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 6:15 a.m., district officers responded to a radio call for a “Hospital Case” in a rear alley on the 2700 block of N. Opal Street, where medical personnel were already on the scene. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, identified as local resident Keisha Furlow, lying on the ground suffering from severe facial lacerations. Investigators recovered two bloodied bricks near her body, which are believed to have been used in the attack. Furlow was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics at 6:14 a.m.

Homicide Investigation

On Wednesday evening, June 10, 2026, at approximately 7:23 p.m., officers from the 14th District responded to a shooting in the 6100 block of Magnolia Street, where they discovered an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds on the highway. Responding officers immediately transported the victim to Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later at 7:49 p.m. At this time, no arrests have been made, and a motive for the shooting has not yet been established. 

The investigation remains active and ongoing with the Homicide Unit.

There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Wanted: Suspect for Questioning in connection to a Homicide

The Homicide Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted above. He is wanted for questioning in connection with the homicide of 45-year-old Keisha Farlow, who died as a result of blunt force trauma. The incident occurred on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 1:59 a.m. in the 2600 block of N. 24th Street.

Wanted: Suspects for Commercial Burglary

The PPD Northwest Detective Division is attempting to identify the individuals responsible for this commercial burglary.

On May 30, 2026, at 11:50am, on the 5300 block of Germantown Ave six black male offenders broke in and burglarized a business on that block. Philadelphia Police recovered local surveillance footage which showed two males break into the side door of the business. During the course of the next two hours these same two men and four additional men were seen coming and going into the business as they stole more items from an upstairs apartment and the business. They were seen driving two different style white vans during the burglary. Both have PA tags but that did not  come back to that specific vehicle.

Fatal Shooting in the 15th District

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday evening in the city’s 15th Police District.

On June 7, 2026, at approximately 4:58 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire on the highway along the 5198 block of Princeton Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, first responders located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medic 47 personnel pronounced the victim deceased on location at 5:07 p.m.

Police Investigating Shooting at a local Hotel

The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating an early-morning shooting that occurred inside a hotel room, which left one man injured and a woman in custody.

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 10:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at a hotel located on the 200 block of South Christopher Columbus Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers encountered a 25-year-old female in the lobby who identified herself as the shooter and surrendered her firearm to police. She was taken into custody at the scene.

East Police Division to Host “Carnival Rodeo”

Early Saturday morning, officers from the 1st District responded to a shooting on the highway at the 19xx block of Durfor Street at approximately 1:32 AM. Upon arrival, police discovered an unidentified male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Responding officers immediately transported the victim to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 1:47 AM. At this time no arrests have been made, and the motive remains unknown.

The investigation is ongoing with the Homicide Unit.
