Wanted: Suspect for Commercial Burglary in the 14th District [VIDEO]

The PPD Northwest Detective Division is attempting to identify this individual responsible for this commercial church burglary.

On December 20, 2025 at 3:30PM at 9 East Chestnut Hill Ave the offender broke in and burglarized the Our Mother of Consolation Church. The complainant (resident priest of Our Mother of Consolation Church) stated he was in his second floor bedroom above the church when he heard a loud noise at the entrance of the church. When he went down he observed an unknown black male breaking into the “poor box” in the main church worship area. The offender saw the complainant and fled. The offender was last seen north bound on Germantown Ave.

Missing Juvenile Brielle Gause from the 39th District

The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing juvenile, Brielle Gause. The 15-year-old female was last seen on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., on the 5000 block of Newhall Street.

Her height is 5’8″, and weighs 135 lbs.

Philadelphia CBP officers intercept six more dangerous ketamine smuggling attempts from Europe

PHILADELPHIA – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers intercepted six separate ketamine smuggling attempts in Philadelphia, most recently on Dec. 11, that shipped from Europe to addresses in the United States.

Ketamine hydrochloride is a Schedule III non-narcotic compound regulated under the Controlled Substances Act. It is a dangerous anesthetic commonly known on the street as “Special K,” “Donkey Dust,” and “Cat Killer,” and is smoked, snorted, or mixed in beverages, or cut with other dangerous drugs. Overdoses can lead to serious health threats, such as nausea, elevated heart rate, unconsciousness, convulsions, and respiratory failure.

Ketamine is used lawfully by medical professionals to treat human and animal patients. However, ketamine is used illegally by street addicts and recreational users as a hallucinogen, similar to phencyclidine (PCP). Sexual predators also use ketamine to incapacitate their victims.

Homicide Investigation

The following information is preliminary and subject to change; updates will be provided as they become available. 

On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at approximately 5:03 p.m., a shooting occurred in the 25th District on the 2800 block of North Franklin Street. A 23-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported by medics to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. 

The victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at approximately 7:41 p.m.

 At this time, no motive or arrests have been identified. The investigation remains ongoing and is being handled by the Homicide Unit, Philadelphia Police department.

Wanted: Suspect for Homicide in the 15th District [VIDEO]

The Philadelphia Police Department needs your help:

On Sunday June 23, 2024, at approximately 10:09 pm, police responded to the 4700 block of Griscom Street where the remains of a 22-year-old Caucasian female victim, Anastasiya Stangret, (above) were discovered. The victim had a single gunshot wound to the head, and was in an advanced state of decomposition.

The victim was last seen on video several days prior, in the area of Penn and Arrott Streets in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. Police are seeking the help of the public to identify any potential suspects, or information related to the circumstances of her death.

THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA IS OFFERING A REWARD OF $20,000 LEADING TO AN ARREST AND CONVICTION FOR EVERY HOMICIDE.

Philadelphia Police Investigating the Following Incidents

The following information is preliminary and subject to change. Updates will be provided as they become available.

On Sunday, December 21, 2025, at approximately 9:45 a.m., officers assigned to the 5th District responded to a radio call at 5xx Wartman Street for a stabbing at the residence. Upon arrival, officers located a 57-year-old male suffering from a stab wound to the rib area. Officers immediately transported the victim to Jefferson–Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 10:19 a.m. A 16-year-old female was taken into custody for further investigation. The investigation remains ongoing with the Homicide Unit.

Wanted: Suspect for Burglary in the 9th District [VIDEO]

Central Detective Division is seeking the public’s help identifying the individual seen in the following video clips.

On Friday, December 12, 2025, at approximately 7:25AM, an unknown black male gained entry to a shop in the Christmas Village by forcing open a side door. Once inside the suspect rummaged through the inside and then exited without taking any items.

Shooting Investigation

At approximately 3:01 p.m., a shooting occurred inside the entrance of a supermarket located at 2301 Oregon Avenue in the city’s 1st District. An adult male sustained a gunshot wound to the arm and was transported by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition. At this time, no motive has been identified, and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing and is being handled by the Shooting Investigation Group.
