Lundy’s Prison Sentence Postponed, The Reason Unknown

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (July 14, 2026)-The former doctor office of Edward Lundy has been placed on the market. Lundy pleaded guilty in April to illegal distribution of opioids. After the court proceedings, law enforcement announced that he would be sentenced in May. 

Clearys’ Notebook has contacted the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), trying to find out why Lundy’s sentence has been postponed. Our most recent contact with those departments was last week. Neither the AG’s office nor the FBI has returned our phone calls or answered our emails.

Wanted: Suspects for Multiple Commercial Burglaries

On June 9, 2026 at approximately 11:45 PM, the three (03) suspects were captured on surveillance video in the 1000 block of Pine Street. suspects # 1 and # 2 attempted to break into the Smoker’s Point store located at 1036 Pine Street, while suspects #3 served as a “look-out”.

Good Samaritans Rescue Crash Victim

PHILADELPHIA PA (July13, 2026)--On Friday, July 11, 2026, a man traveling on Kelly Drive suddenly veered off the road and crashed into the Schuylkill River. The river runs parallel to Kelly Drive.

According to NBC10’s Miguel Martinez-Valle, the man experienced a medical emergency and plunged his red car into the Schuylkill River along the 2200 block of Kelly Drive. Bystanders, including a former national rower and a college coach, jumped into the water to rescue the trapped man before the vehicle fully submerged. [1, 2]

Philadelphia Zoo Debuts Zoo360 Trail for Bears

Philadelphia Zoo is thrilled to share that its new resident bears are now exploring the Zoo’s first Zoo360 trail for bears and spending time in a brand-new habitat built as a part of Francis J. Carey Bear Country. Update on Non-fatal Shooting Investigation

On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at approximately 12:09 p.m., officers from the 14th District responded to the area of the 5700 block of Boyer Street for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from an apparent chest wound and immediately transported him to Albert Einstein Medical Center. During treatment, medical personnel determined the victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. He is currently listed in stable condition.

Tuskegee Airman Invite Public to Explore Historic Exhibits

The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. continues to preserve and share the extraordinary legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen through ongoing community exhibits designed to educate, inspire and engage visitors of all ages.

Held at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Horsham Branch of American Heritage Federal Credit Union, the exhibits feature historical photographs, artifacts and educational displays highlighting the accomplishments, courage and lasting impact of the Tuskegee Airmen and the men and women who supported military aviation during World War II.

2 Dead, 1 Injured in 3 Philly Incidents

The Philadelphia Police Department is actively investigating three separate  incidents that occurred this afternoon, resulting in two fatalities and one injury. Investigations remain ongoing across multiple districts, and no motives have been established at this time.

In the first incident, police responded to the 5700 block of Boyer Street for reports of an injured male. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from visible blood and trauma to his chest. Officers immediately transported the victim to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where medical staff determined that he had sustained two gunshot wounds to the chest. The victim is currently listed in stable condition, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing with  the Shooting Investigation Group.

Shortly after, at approximately 2:21 PM, officers from the 18th District responded to a violent altercation on the highway at the 700 block of S. 60th Street involving two individuals. Preliminary findings indicate that a 35-year-old male stabbed a 42-year-old male, who then drew a firearm and shot the 35-year-old multiple times. Both men were transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where the 42-year-old was listed in stable condition, and the 35-year-old was pronounced deceased at 3:00 PM. The crime scene is currently being held, and the investigation is being handled by the Homicide Unit.

Surveillance Images of Person Sought in Fatal Logan Robbery Homicide Released

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Shawn Caddell during a robbery in the city’s Logan neighborhood.

Investigators have released surveillance video stills depicting a male they are seeking to identify in connection with the homicide that occurred on Monday, July 6, 2026, inside a business located on the 4900 block of North Broad Street.

Stabbing Investigation

On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at approximately 3:32 p.m., officers from the 9th District responded to the 2000 block of Hamilton Street for a report of a stabbing inside a property. Upon arrival, officers located a 21-year-old female suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported by Philadelphia Fire Department Medic to Jefferson Center City Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. 

At this time there is no motive or arrest; the investigation is ongoing and is being led by the Central Detective Division.
