Fatal Three-Vehicle Collision: 15th District

On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at approximately 10:07 PM, 15th District Officers and emergency personnel responded to a multi-vehicle crash on the 7200 block of Torresdale Avenue that resulted in a fatality.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a red 2013 Infiniti G35 (Unit #1), operated by an 18-year-old male, was traveling northbound on Torresdale Avenue at a high rate of speed. While attempting to pass a double-parked vehicle, Unit #1 crossed into the opposing lane of travel and struck a southbound white 2014 Nissan NV3500 van (Unit #2) head-on, causing extensive damage to both vehicles. Following the initial impact, Unit #1 rotated and struck a legally parked, unoccupied blue 2005 Hyundai Tucson (Unit #3) on the west side of the street.

Shooting Investigation

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group is currently investigating a shooting that left a man in extremely critical condition on Tuesday afternoon in West Philadelphia.

At approximately 4:35 p.m., officers from the 18th District responded to a residence on the 53xx block of Spruce Street, where they located an adult male inside the property suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. Officers immediately transported the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was admitted and is currently listed in extremely critical condition. A person of interest has been taken into custody for further investigation. The scene is currently being held for processing. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

24th Police District to Host Annual Block Party

OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Officer-Involved Shooting Investigation Unit is investigating an incident that occurred on June 13, 2026, involving multiple Philadelphia police officers and an armed male.

On 6/13/2026 at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers assigned to the 19th District responded to a report of a person with a weapon and shots fired in the area of 54th and Arlington Streets. Upon arrival, officers began investigating the incident and canvassing the area for witnesses and evidence.

Philadelphia Police Report The Following Incidents

The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early this morning in the 39th District, which left three people injured.

On June 14, 2026, at approximately 12:29 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting near 15th and Clearfield Streets. Investigators learned that a physical altercation had broken out between two women. During the fight, a 27-year-old male suspect drew a handgun and opened fire while the women were on the ground.

Three victims were injured in the gunfire: a 30-year-old male (Victim #1)a 22-year-old female (Victim #2), and a 19-year-old female (Victim #3). All three victims were transported to Temple University Hospital via private vehicles and are currently listed in stable condition. Following the shooting, the suspect fled the hospital area in a silver Ford Taurus. The investigation remains active and ongoing with the Shooting Investigation Group.

In a separate and unrelated incident on June 13, 2026, at 11:23 p.m., 15th District officers responded to a fatal shooting on the highway at 1700 Brill Street. A 19-year-old male victim suffered fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene at 11:36 p.m. The victim’s name is currently being withheld pending next-of-kin notification. No arrests have been made, and no motive has been established. The Homicide Unit is actively investigating.

Police Identify Victim and Offender in June 10th Magnolia Street Homicide

Philadelphia police have identified both the victim and the offender in the fatal shooting of a 52-year-old man that occurred Wednesday evening, June 10th, in the city’s Germantown neighborhood. A suspect is currently in custody.

Philadelphia Police Arrest Suspect in Fatal Assault

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit has arrested and charged a suspect in connection with the fatal assault of a 45-year-old woman that occurred early Sunday morning in the city’s 22nd District.

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 6:15 a.m., district officers responded to a radio call for a “Hospital Case” in a rear alley on the 2700 block of N. Opal Street, where medical personnel were already on the scene. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, identified as local resident Keisha Furlow, lying on the ground suffering from severe facial lacerations. Investigators recovered two bloodied bricks near her body, which are believed to have been used in the attack. Furlow was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics at 6:14 a.m.

Homicide Investigation

On Wednesday evening, June 10, 2026, at approximately 7:23 p.m., officers from the 14th District responded to a shooting in the 6100 block of Magnolia Street, where they discovered an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds on the highway. Responding officers immediately transported the victim to Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later at 7:49 p.m. At this time, no arrests have been made, and a motive for the shooting has not yet been established. 

The investigation remains active and ongoing with the Homicide Unit.
